Doncaster -1

Reason for tip

Doncaster are unbeaten in 13, winning 11 times during that run, with eight of those victories coming by at least two goals. By contrast, Crewe’s last six defeats have been by a two-goal margin or worse, with two of those losses coming against Donny.

Doncaster 2-0

Reason for tip

Doncaster have won the last two meetings between these two sides 2-0 and they can repeat that trick on Friday against a Crewe side whose last six defeats have been by at least a two-goal margin.

Doncaster vs Crewe Predictions

  • Doncaster are unbeaten in 13 matches, winning 11 of those games
  • Eight of those 11 victories have been by at least a two-goal margin
  • The last two meetings between these two sides have ended 2-0 to Doncaster

No stopping Donny’s march to Wembley

Doncaster ended the regular season as League Two’s form side and that impressive run has continued into the play-offs following Monday’s 2-0 first-leg win at Crewe.

Grant McCann’s side are now unbeaten in 13 games, 11 of which have ended in victory, while the first of those wins was also a 2-0 success over Crewe at the Eco-Power Stadium in March.

Donny have also won eight matches on the spin at home and they can seal a place at Wembley for the play-off final with a ninth-straight home success against a Crewe side whose form is trending in the complete opposite direction.

Misfiring Crewe have little left in the tank

Crewe rather limped into the play-offs and their poor form continued in the first leg, as that 2-0 defeat marked the sixth time in eight games that the Railwaymen have failed to score.

It is now just one win in 10 for Lee Bell’s side and worryingly their last six defeats have all been by at least a two-goal margin.

By contrast, eight of Donny’s last 11 victories have been by at least two goals, a record they can extend on Friday and do not be surprised if they claim a 2-0 victory over Crewe for the third time this season.
