Eintracht Frankfurt Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Eintracht Frankfurt are unbeaten in their last nine Bundesliga home games, winning five. They have won five games on the spin at home to Leverkusen, but draw no bet must be taken here because Xabi Alonso’s men, who required stoppage-time goals at Dortmund and against Stuttgart to maintain their 47-game unbeaten run, have not lost this season for a reason.

Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1

Reason for tip

Eintracht Frankfurt have scored multiple goals in five of their lats nine home league games, including a 5-1 thrashing of Bayern Munich back in December. They are not in that kind of form but can pull out something special to win 2-1 against a Leverkusen side whose defence rarely keeps domestic clean sheets and may be jaded after their midweek exertions in Rome.

Hugo Ekitike To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Hugo Ekitike has notched in his last two games for Frankfurt in an uptick in goalscoring form that could be linked to him finally having his loan move converted into a permanent transfer.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayer Leverkusen Predictions

  • Eintracht Frankfurt are unbeaten in their last nine Bundesliga home games, winning five.
  • Frankfurt have won five games on the spin at home to Leverkusen.
  • Leverkusen required stoppage-time goals at Dortmund and against Stuttgart to maintain their unbeaten Bundesliga run

Five home wins in a row for Frankfurt over Leverkusen

Eintracht Frankfurt can end Bayer Leverkusen’s bid to become the Bundesliga’s first-ever Invincibles when they play host to Xabi Alonso’s side on Sunday.

The Eagles are unbeaten in their last nine Bundesliga home games, winning five, and will be fresher than the visitors. Leverkusen, who have lost five times in a row in Frankfurt, have been able to cope well with the demands of a gruelling European campaign alongside their pursuit of a domestic double thanks to Alonso’s clever rotations.

The Spanish tactician surprised a few, Roma boss Daniele De Rossi probably included, by leaving both of his centre forwards out of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final first leg at Stadio Olimpico. And, as he usually is, Alonso was proved right as a team built for speedy transitions secured a deserved 2-0 lead to bring back to Germany.

Leverkusen have been leaving it late

He could name either or both of Victor Boniface and Patrick Schick in his starting XI at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday, but his first-choice wing-backs and attacking midfielders could be due a rest.

Their absences could give the hosts a chance to impose themselves on a Leverkusen side that have shown a few signs of going off the boil – in the Bundesliga at least – since their inaugural title became a mathematical certainty. Alonso’s side needed a stoppage-time leveller at Dortmund to keep their unbeaten run going and came back from 2-0 down to level with the last kick of the game at home to Stuttgart last weekend.

Frankfurt have lost three of their last six games, but they pushed Bayern Munich all the way in a 2-1 away defeat last week and can capitalise on any tiredness in the visiting side to land a vital three points in their European quest.
