James Tavernier To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Gers’ defence is not what it was

Rangers can pick up the win they need to keep the Premiership title race alive when they host Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Sunday. Phillipe Clement’s side have beaten Killie twice already this season, including a 3-1 victory the last time the sides met in Glasgow and it would be no sirprise to see something similar unfold.

Rangers have had some defensive issues of late with Conor Goldson carrying the can after being benched for the FA Cup semi-final win over Hearts and subsequent Premiership win over St Mirren.

He will now miss the rest of the campaign with a knee injury, leaving Leon Balogun and John Souttar to anchor the defence in the remaining league games.

Killie carry a good goal threat

Rangers have kept a league-high 53% of clean sheets this term, but the Light Blues have only been able to shut out two of their last eight Premiership opponents.

They look unlikely to blank a battling Kilmarnock side who are very close to securing a spot in the Europa League qualifiers. Derek McInnes’ men are unbeaten in their last six Premiership games and carry a regular goal threat on the road, having scored on their last seven away trips.

But they rarely get the better of Rangers at Ibrox and will probably fall to a seventh straight defeat in Govan. Clement’s side are scoring enough goals to maintain their title push and with James Tavernier showing such attacking prowess, they can pick up a third 3-1 victory in a row against Killie.
