10/1 Win Accumulator lands on Thursday!
A great month gets even better! Our analysts have come through again after landing a 24/1 Win Accumulator , 13/1 Evening Accumulator, 8/1 Overnight Treble and a 16/1 Match Goals Accumulator already this month, they have now landed a 10/1 Win Accumulator thanks to the Europa League fixtures on Thursday night!
Here’s how it all went down.
All five games came in the Europa League and the first leg of the accumulator started with an earlier kick off which saw Malmo take on Midtjylland. Malmo were the better of the two sides after cruising to a 2-0 lead after just 24 minutes, our accumulator already looked dead as we needed Midtjylland to grab at least a draw in this one. A much stronger second half for the visitors saw a goal scored in the 60th minute to make it 2-1 and the acca was well and truly alive after a 77th minute equaliser with the match ending 2-2.
Basel kicked off our second leg hosting Apollon Limassol in a game full of goals. Basel as expected took the lead through former Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel but Apollon didn’t lose faith as they turned it around to leave 2-1 just 8 minutes into the second half. Two goals were needed from Basel to land this leg of our accumulator and van Wolfsvinkel got his brace to make it 2-2 with just over 20 minutes to go. Basel kept going desperate for a win with Apollon scoring two away goals and they finally got their third with 6 minutes to spare through 20 year old Swiss Centre-Back Eray Comert. A cracking time to score your first Basel goal after spending two years out on loan!
Genk were next up for the accumulator playing host to Brondby in a game which saw 7 goals scored in the first leg. The home side were great in the first half heading into the tunnel with a 2-0 lead but Brondby gave us a scare making it 2-2 just 6 minutes into the second half. Genk kicked on after the equaliser scoring just 4 minutes later and 2 more late on to take a commanding 5-2 lead to Denmark next week.
Our penultimate leg comes from the Serbian capital as Partizan Belgrade welcomed Turkish side Besiktas. We needed Partizan to take a draw into the second leg and it looked a great start when they took the lead with just 14 minutes on the clock, however Besiktas equalised seconds later to make it 1-1. A very even game overall saw no more goals and we move to the final leg.
We move to Scotland where FC Ufa travelled to play Rangers for the final leg of the accumulator, Rangers looked great in the first 10 minutes having nearly 80% possession and 4 shots they looked bound to score soon. The first and only goal of the game came in the 42nd minute. Rangers were always in control of the game and were unlucky to only score 1 goal but they still landed our accumulator!
