18/1 Win Accumulator lands on Thursday!
As we approach the end of a great month for the accumulators, our analysts managed to land yet another with the Europa League fixtures on Thursday night! The win comes after landing a huge 153/1 Correct Score Double and a 21/1 MLS Accumulator last weekend!
Here’s how the 18/1 Winner went down.
The first game to kick off in the accumulator saw Apollon Limassol host FC Basel. The first leg of this one ended 3-2 in favour of Basel and Apollon Limassol knew if they did not concede tonight they were well in with a chance of qualification. The first half ended goalless but saw both sides creating chances and it was a great end to end game but it was the hosts who took the lead just 8 minutes into the second half. The final 30 minutes of the game were tough on Apollon but they did enough to knock Basel out of Europe and land the first leg for us!
Turkish side Besiktas played host to Partizan in the second leg and did not disappoint. The first half started slow but Besiktas struck first through former Champions League winner Pepe who managed to bag two goals from Centre Back. The hosts won the game comfortably by 3 goals to move us on to the third leg!
The third leg proved to be the crucial leg of this accumulator, we needed Rosenborg to grab a win tonight in Macedonia where they met Shkendija Tetovo in a game which saw plenty of drama. Shkendija started on fire and the accumulator looked in doubt when they struck the back of the net only to have the goal ruled out but the drama didn’t end there. The home side were then awarded a penalty in the 20th minute which was saved by Hansen and the accumulator stayed alive! The teams went in 0-0 at the break with the home side dominating having over 10 shots in the first half and they kept it up in the second half after being awarded another penalty in the 48th minute. Hansen came to the rescue once again and gave the accumulator life for the second time and Rosenborg pushed on after this scoring through centre back Hovland in the 67th minute. With 20 minutes to go Shkendija kept on pushing but it was Rosenborg who landed this leg by scoring once again to win the game 2-0.
We move over to France for the penultimate leg for Bordeaux vs Gent, the first leg between the two ended 0-0 but it was the home side who got off to a quick start scoring in the 10th minute. Gent didn’t offer much going forward and were punished with some poor defending in the second half which saw a penalty awarded to the hosts. The penalty was buried by forward Jimmy Briand and Bordeaux moved us over to the final leg!
We come back home to England for the final leg of the accumulator with Burnley hosting Greek side Olympiakos. We backed against Burnley and went for Olympiakos Double Chance in this fixture, Burnley were playing their 8th game this month and were on the verge of exiting European competition after the 3-1 loss in the first leg. Burnley were the team dominating in the first half and could easily have been a goal or two ahead after a poor show from Olympiakos. Burnley took the foot off the gas in the second half and gave Olympiakos chances to kill the tie and they did just that in the 83rd minute after netting through Portuguese winger Daniel Podence. Burnley hit back just 3 minutes later to give the accumulator a late scare but Olympiakos held on for a draw and our 18/1 Accumulator officially came in!
