It might not be the most enticing of football but the Scandinavian leagues are a treasure trove of value when it comes to betting and Monday night’s Swedish Allsvenskan action is no different.
Here, our daily bet builder focuses on Varberg vs Sirius as both teams look to climb away from the relegation zone.
24/1 Varberg vs Sirius bet builder
Varberg to win
These sides may be separated by just a single place in the Allsvenskan table but it’s hosts Varberg who have the clear advantage coming into this game.
They have only lost one of their last five in the league and have claimed seven points from their last three at home. Sirius, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four and have managed just one point from their last five away games, conceding a massive 17 goals in the process.
Both teams to score
I’ve already touched upon Sirius’s dreadful defensive record on the road but it’s worth reiterating that they have conceded an average of 3.4 goals per game in their last five trips.
However, Varberg have only kept one clean sheet in their six home games this season and with Sirius scoring in four of their last five matches I’m expecting goals at both ends on Monday.
Tashreeq Matthews to score anytime
Tashreeq Matthews came through the Borussia Dortmund youth system after leaving South Africa in 2018 and the 20-year-old has flourished with Varberg this season.
Operating on the left or right side of a 4-2-3-1 the young attacker has scored four goals in ten Allsvenskan starts, with three of those coming in his last five outings. He should find success against this subpar Sirius back line.
Adam Hellborg to be booked
Adam Hellborg has been an absolute card magnet in the Swedish top flight this season, with his booking at home to Orebro last time out making it an incredible seven yellows in his ten outings.
Four of these have come in his six away games and he faces a Varberg side that have seen their opponents booked nine times and sent off once in their last five games.
