Atalanta vs Villarreal

Raul Albiol to be booked

Atalanta and Villarreal meet in what is essentially a knockout clash on Wednesday in Bergamo. The Yellow Submarines hold the advantage in Group F as they sit second with a one point lead over Atalanta, meaning a draw would be good enough for Villarreal to reach the knockout stages and La Dea need to win.

With so much at stake, there is a chance this game could become a physical battle at times and that means a few cards could be dished out. Villarreal defender Raul Albiol is one contender for a yellow card having been booked three times in his last seven appearances. Albiol has only picked up one yellow card in five Champions League games but four of his five cards in total this season have come away from El Madrigal, meaning he has been booked in exactly half of his total appearances away from home.

Bayern Munich vs Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski to score

Bayern are already through to the next round as group winners and they host a Barcelona side who will probably need to win in Germany to join them in the knockout stages. The Bavarians have the option of resting a few players, but surely the temptation of making a statement against – and potentially dumping out – the Catalan giants will prove too great and their star men should still be on show.

Robert Lewandowski hit a brace in the reverse fixture at Camp Nou and has scored in all five of his Champions League appearances, with nine goals in total. The Pole has only failed to score in two of his last 12 games for club and country and even at a short price is worth backing to grab a goal at anytime against Barca on Wednesday.

Wolfsburg vs Lille

Jonathan David to score

Lille’s Canadian forward Jonathan David is having an incredible season with 11 goals in 17 appearances in Ligue 1. The 21-year-old has been in fine form in Europe too with two goals in five Champions League outings and he can add to his tally at Wolfsburg on Wednesday. David has four goals in his last five appearances and has scored in each of his last two European outings, and he looks a strong candidate for an anytime goal for the French champions as they bid to secure a place in the knockout rounds.

Manchester United vs Young Boys

Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu over 0.5 shots on target

Manchester United have already guaranteed their place in the next round but Wednesday’s visitors Young Boys could yet sneak into the Europa League places depending on the result of the game between Atalanta and Villarreal. The Swiss side need to win to have any chance of playing in Europe in the second half of the season and that may see them take a few risks at Old Trafford. Young Boys did claim a shock win over United in the reverse fixture and Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu was on target that night at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern. The 27-year-old may not be able to add to his account in Manchester but he can at least register a shot on target, with Moumi Ngamaleu averaging two shots per-game with 0.4 on target in the Champions League this season.
