43/1 BTTS accumulator for this week's Nations League matches

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Fresh from a massive 56/1 winner on Saturday night, we’re looking ahead to the international break to find some value in the UEFA Nations League.

I’ve picked out six both teams to score bets from across the first three days of Nations League action. These tips span the continent and they make up a 43/1 BTTS sixfold. This tip has been priced up with bet365, who have this great welcome offer for new customers.

Nations League BTTS Long Haul

Austria vs Kazakhstan

Austria are heavy favourites to dispatch Kazakhstan this weekend, but defensive issues could crop up again. After playing some thrilling football at the Euros, eight of Austria’s last nine internationals have featured both teams scoring.

The Austrians suffered a bit of a tournament hangover in their September fixtures, drawing 1-1 with Slovenia before a 2-1 defeat in Austria. A home clash with a Kazakhstan side who have lost five of their last six starts should see Ralf Rangnick’s men turn things around. However, the visitors have scored in three of their last four trips so they’re backed to get a goal.

Norway vs Slovenia

Slovenia departed the Euros having scored just twice in four matches, but they tend to be a little more adventurous outside of tournament football. After scoring four goals across their two games in September, an attack powered by the in-form Benjamin Sesko can cause problems for Norway.

Norway have plenty of talent going forward, but they’ve managed one clean sheet across their last five Nations League fixtures. With Slovenia scoring in eight of their last nine away trips – while conceding in six of those – back goals in Oslo.

Slovakia vs Sweden

Sweden’s September internationals brought two impressive displays as Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres dovetailed brilliantly. While Isak is absent for the October games, former Coventry striker Gyokeres can lead the line with Dejan Kulusevski in support.

That should see Sweden continue their red-hot attacking form, but they’ve also kept just two clean sheets in seven matches. Slovakia have scored in nine consecutive internationals, with BTTS landing in their final three games at Euro 2024.

Czech Republic vs Albania

Each of the Czech Republic’s last nine matches have finished with both teams scoring, with their September double-header featuring a total of 10 goals. The hosts have scored in each of their last 12 internationals and that run can continue on Friday.

Albania have failed to keep a clean sheet across their last six matches, while they gave Italy and Croatia a scare at Euro 2024 by opening the scoring in both meetings. Both teams have scored in seven of their last eight Nations League games and this should be another open affair.

Croatia vs Scotland

Croatia are still squeezing what is left out of an ageing core but there are clear diminishing returns. After a group stage exit in Germany, Croatia lost 2-1 away to Portugal in their Nations League opener.

Defensively Croatia look vulnerable, but they have scored in seven of their last eight matches. Despite Scotland’s recent struggles, five of their last six games have finished with both teams finding the net. After scoring in Nations League defeats to Poland and Portugal, they can strike in this visit to Zagreb.

Poland vs Portugal

Portugal conceded in both of their wins in September and they head to Poland aiming to make it three wins from three. Roberto Martinez has a fantastic record with them outside of an underwhelming showing at Euro 2024, so it’s little surprise their performances improved in the Nations League.

Portugal will likely prove too strong for Poland, but the hosts are a tough side to stop in Warsaw. They’ve scored in nine consecutive home matches, while they showed an eye for goal in Germany. Despite a group stage exit, Poland did score and concede in clashes with France, the Netherlands and Austria. They can trouble Portugal’s backline, so BTTS in this clash wraps up this Nations League sixfold.
