43/1 Eredivisie Mega Accumulator lands on Wednesday!!!

A lifelong Birmingham City fan, Tom relocated to Germany for five years after graduating from university, where his interest in the Bundesliga developed. He began writing about and betting on German football for FST in 2016. He's also an avid fantasy football player and closely follows the Premier League and European competitions.

Most football around Europe is getting ready for a well-deserved break, but that hasn’t stopped us landing a huge 43/1 Mega Acca on the Dutch Eredivisie here at FST! What a way to start off the summer!

Here’s how we did it:

Feyenoord’s 6th-minute opener was the first leg to go straight in our favour. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men were big favourites before the game and an early goal from them really spurned on hosts Fortuna Sittard. We had to wait a while, but Jorrit Smeets was the man to draw them level just before half-time, landing our ‘Both Teams to Score’ (BTTS) leg in the progress.

We were waiting for similar results on the ‘Excelsior v AZ’ and ‘Utrecht v Heerenveen’ games, except this time we had combined BTTS with Over 2.5 Goals as we thought these would be particularly high scoring. We weren’t wrong. Both of these games were drawn 1-1 at the half-way mark, but it took just six minutes of the second half for both of those to land too.

As all this was happening, league leaders Ajax and second-placed PSV had conceded first-half goals but, to our fortune, regained the lead and were dominating the inplay statistics. Any worries of a possible De Graafschap comeback against Ajax was diminished in the 67th minute through Dusan Tadic, who made it 3-1, but PSV made us wait until the 89th minute before putting themselves two clear and sealing the win against Heracles!

By far the most exciting legs, however, were between VVV vs Vitesse and ADO Den Haag v Willem II. Let’s start with the former. Vitesse were 2-0 up at HT and clear sailing… we had some real doubts about VVV here. However, VVV came out stronger in the second half and in the 68th minute scored with their first shot on target, landing another ‘BTTS’ leg – get in!

Last but not least then came ADO Den Haag. We had backed them ‘Draw No Bet’, so when they found themselves dominated on the inplay stats and 2-1 down, we were needing one goal to land the Mega Acca at reduced odds, or two goals to win it at full odds. From nowhere Den Haag managed to pull one back… and then things really got going. We saw Willem go down to ten men and all of a sudden it was 3-2, 4-2, 5-2, and finally 6-2 to Den Haag to land us the bet – pure euphoria!
