There are two games in Germany on Monday as Group B reaches a conclusion, with three teams still in contention to take second spot.

When the draw was announced this batch of four was labelled as the ‘group of death’ and that has proven to be the case. Spain have sailed through as group winners with a game to spare, but Croatia are in danger of falling at the first hurdle and defending champions Italy could still find themselves on an early plane home.

The unfancied Albania have one point on the board and a win against Spain, who are likely to rotate heavily, could see them take second spot from the Azzurri if they are bested by Croatia.

Monday’s Euro 2024 Bet Builder Tips

Croatia vs Italy

Gianluca Scamacca To Score Anytime

Gianluca Scamacca looks like a great option to score in this clash, given how Croatia have given away chances in the box. Albania scored with efforts from around the penalty area after some chaotic defending from Croatia, while Scamacca has looked bright without scoring after a strong finish to the season with Atalanta.

Josip Sutalo To Be Shown A Card

This is a do-or-die game for Croatia as only a win is likely to be enough for them to progress. That could lead to a physical approach and Josip Sutalo looks a good outside contender for a card. The Ajax defender is yet to be booked in Germany but has committed five fouls across his two appearances.

Bruno Petkovic To Have 2+ Shots

Croatia were fairly poor against Albania but forward Bruno Petkovic probably did enough to keep his starting spot despite failing to score. Petkovic is averaging 2.0 shots per-game in Germany and he should be able to try his luck at least twice in this must-win fixture.

Albania vs Spain

Over 3.5 Goals

Spain have qualified for the next round as Group B winners irrespective of results elsewhere and that may lead to wholesale changes. Albania have to go for it here as only a win is likely to be enough to see them progress. The Spanish haven’t conceded at this tournament yet but their weakened side will be vulnerable against an Albanian outfit that has opened the scoring against both Italy and Croatia. Both teams can contribute here, so back them to combine for at least four goals.

Rey Manaj to have 3+ shots

Albania forward Rey Manaj had two shots against Croatia and has three in total for the tournament in 98 minutes across his two games. Manaj came into the tournament after an excellent season in Turkey with Sivasspor and will be one of his side’s main attacking threats on Monday. Albania are likely to adopt a shoot-on-sight policy at some stage as they desperately try to claim the win they need, and they should get plenty of chances as this is effectively a dead-rubber for the Spaniards so three or more attempts for Manaj seems reasonable.

Ayoze Perez To Score Anytime

Ayoze Perez looked impressive off the bench for Spain in the closing stages against Italy, taking three shots and getting two on target in a 13-minute cameo. That bright display has likely earned him a start in a rotated Spain side and the Real Betis winger can build on that impressive display and score against an Albanian side that will struggle to contain his pace.

Ylber Ramadani To Commit 2+ Fouls

Whatever team Spain put out, their possession based tactics won’t change and that means the Albanians will have to work hard to get hold of the ball. That could lead to a physical approach so two or more fouls for Ylber Ramadani, who averaged 1.3 fouls per-game or Lecce last season appeals.

Berat Djimsiti To Commit 1+ Fouls

Albania skipper Berat Djimsiti has to lead by example when it comes to winning back the ball in this make or break game. The Atalanta defender averaged 0.5 fouls per-game in Serie A and 0.8 in Europe as La Dea landed the Europa League crown, so take him to commit at least one in what is effectively a final for the Balkan nation.
