This weekend marks the return of the Scottish Premiership, with Celtic starting the campaign following a season where they went without a trophy, to a point. The Bhoys did win the 2019/20 Scottish Cup by beating Hearts in a six-goal thriller in December, but that technically wasn’t part of last season.
Now the Bhoys kick-off their 2020/21 Premiership campaign against Hearts, with the Edinburgh side back in the top-flight after being relegated in the curtailed 19/20 campaign. Their quick response has left Hearts with plenty of momentum coming into their showdown with Celtic.
Given how big Saturday night’s clash is, we’ve picked out a 54/1 Bet Builder and you can see each of our four selections for the game below.

Hearts vs Celtic Bet Builder selections
Hearts or draw double chance
Celtic’s preseason friendlies have seen them fail to beat two Championship sides and they were beaten 6-2 by West Ham. The Bhoys were also knocked out of the Champions League this week, with clouds gathering ahead of what could be a tough campaign. Meanwhile, the hosts have kept a clean sheet in nine straight matches in all competitions and they should be able to hold Celtic at bay.
Liam Boyce to score
Boyce hit 14 goals for Hearts last season and the striker has made an impressive start to the current campaign. The Northern Irishman has scored in three of his four games for them so far this term and that form should help him make a flying start to the new season.
Over 9.5 corners
Celtic’s Premiership games saw 9.6 corners per game last season and we see Hearts playing their part in a game that’s high on corners this weekend. The hosts should be ready to take the game to Celtic here and that should result in plenty of corners for them.
Callum McGregor to be booked
The Celtic midfielder was booked four times for the Bhoys in the league last season, more than any player currently at the club. Without Scott Brown in the middle of the park there’s more emphasis on McGregor and he’s great value to be booked amid their early season struggles.
