55/1 Player specials accumulator for Saturday's Premier League action!
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
Premier League action returns on Saturday after the international break and with a packed day of action, what better time is there to put together an accumulator spanning those games?
Instead of pricing up a results-based acca, we’ve instead taken a look at the best player specials tips across the 3pm kick-offs and the late clash between Newcastle and Brentford. This acca is possible thanks to Paddy Power’s multi-match bet builder function and new customers can take advantage of that market alongside getting some free bets through the link below.
Saturday’s PL Specials Acca
Matty Cash 1+ shot on target
Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace
Cash has been eager to get forward for Villa of late and their clash against Crystal Palace offers an opportunity for the wing-back to cause some more problems.
Cash has scored three goals across his last three outings thanks to being moved further forward by Unai Emery. He’s attempted no fewer than nine shots in that spell, so back him to work the goalkeeper on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes to score or assist
Man United vs Brighton
Fernandes hasn’t had the greatest start to the season, but he showed his class for Portugal in the international break. The attacking midfielder scored against both Slovakia and Luxembourg, hitting the match-winner against the former and chipping in with a hat-trick of assists against the latter.
When you consider that Fernandes both scored and assisted in United’s last home game, he looks good for an attacking return in this weekend’s clash with a vulnerable Brighton defence.
Pape Matar Sarr 1+ shot on target
Tottenham vs Sheffield United
Tottenham have enjoyed a brilliant start under Ange Postecoglou and Sarr is one of many breakout players under the former Celtic boss. The midfielder has a real eye for goal and he’s thriving as a number eight in a new-look Spurs side.
Sarr scored against Manchester United in their last home game and he’s had at least one shot on target for Tottenham across each of his four Premier League starts this term. His most impressive display came against United, where he had five attempts with two on target. Before the break he had three shots against newly-promoted Burnley, so he can continue a great start against a poor Sheffield United team.
Rodri to score or assist
West Ham vs Man City
The London Stadium should see the debut of Matheus Nunes after his move from Wolves to Man City, which is good news for his prospective new midfield partner Rodri.
The Spaniard has been surprisingly forward-thinking so far this term. He has made his biggest impact on the road, getting both a goal and an assist at Burnley, setting up a goal in the UEFA Super Cup and scoring the winner at Sheffield United.
The midfielder made an assist for Spain in midweek and he can return to league action with another attacking input on the road.
Yoane Wissa 2+ shots
Newcastle vs Brentford
Brentford have made a flying start to the campaign and while Bryan Mbeumo deserves plenty of credit, Yoane Wissa has also made a massive impact.
The striker has had 15 shots across his four Premier League games so far, with only Odsonne Edouard, Eberechie Eze and Erling Haaland having more. He’s had at least two shot attempts in all four league games so far, while he racked up an impressive seven shots in the Bees’ only away trip so far against Fulham.
