7/1 Darts Accumulator LANDS on Friday!

It was the perfect start to the new Darts season here at FST, when a 7/1 accumulator landed for us on Friday night, here’s how the action unfolded.

7/1 Darts Acca LANDS!

The opening game of the tournament saw Dave Chisnall take on Daryl Gurney, and we fancied the big-hitting ‘Chizzy’ to hit more 180s than the Northern Irishman. The game started off slowly, and after 12 legs of darts the 180 count stood at one apiece. The maximums started to flow more freely towards the end of the game, and it was the 16 th leg that proved crucial. ‘Chizzy’ started the leg with back-to-back maximums, and although he couldn’t complete the nine-darter, it helped him run-out a 5-2 winner on the maximum count.

Our second leg concerned the match between Mensur Suljovic and Simon Whitlock, we were on the Austrian to overcome a 3.5 leg handicap against ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Suljovic beat Whitlock 10-1 in their Champions League meeting last season, and Suljovic repeated the trick in another comfortable victory. Whitlock looked uneasy on the stage, and although he took the second leg of the match to make the score 1-1, Suljovic reeled off nine straight legs and landed our second bet of the evening with plenty to spare.

The final leg of our accumulator was certainly closer, as Michael van Gerwen took on Jonny Clayton. We fancied the Welshman with a 5.5 leg advantage, meaning he required five legs against the Dutchman to land our acca. Unfortunately van Gerwen started the match like a train and soon took a 4-0 lead. Crucially van Gerwen then missed three darts at double top in the fifth leg and Clayton took out 32, to reduce his arrears to 4-1. After the break, The Ferret’ upped his game, and some better scoring helped him close the gap on the Dutchman to 6-4. Needing just one more leg to land our bet, the Welshman made us sweat a couple of times, but took out double-10 in the twelfth leg to get a fifth leg on the board. That was the last leg he won during the match, but fortunately for us it was enough to land our 7/1 accumulator.
