75/1 #OddsOnThat special for Wolves vs Man City

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

We’ve already seen 17 Premier League games this season, but finally the title favourites kick-off their campaign. Excitement is building to see how Pep Guardiola’s side respond after their poor title defence, with the bookies making them the clear frontrunners to reclaim the crown.

However, the weekend showed how a side returning late can be caught out, as Manchester United lost their opener at home to Crystal Palace. Monday is set to be an even bigger task for City, as they face a strong Wolves side.

City lost home and away to Wolves last term and we see them being tested here. Ahead of the week’s Monday Night Football clash at Molineux, we have a huge 75/1 #OddsOnThat selection with Betfair.

Remember – you can find a more comprehensive analysis of the game with our expert’s verdict and betting tips in our Wolves vs Man City predictions.

FST’s Wolves vs Man City #OddsOnThat

Wolves to Score 2+ Goals

Wolves scored in 16 of their 19 Premier League home games last season, while they gave Man City plenty of trouble when the pair went head to head. City emerged from the season with six points from two clashes with the Citizens, including a 3-2 victory at Molineux.

Wolves finished last season at home with a 3-0 win over Everton and a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace. Given that they put two past Sheffield United in their opener, we think their attack can cause problems for City once more.

Adama Traore to Score

The man who caused Pep Guardiola more headaches than any other opposition player was Adama Traore. The Spaniard scored home and away to City last term, notching three strikes overall against City.

His lightning pace leaves him perfectly poised to hurt a City side who had problems at the back throughout last season. The signing of Nathan Ake does little to suggest those issues are fixed, so we’re backing Traore to find the net tomorrow.

Raul Jimenez 1+ Shots on Target

Raul Jimenez hit 1.2 shots on target per game last season despite playing more minutes than any other striker. He managed just over a shot on target per game through their Europa League campaign too, so he’s a consistent danger to the opposition.

The Mexican scored against Sheffield United in their opener, so he’s already made a bright start to the campaign. He’s got an impressive all round game and should really trouble the City defence, while we see him troubling the goalkeeper at least once.

Romain Saiss to be Booked

While we’ve gone with some pro-Wolves selections so far, we expect the Wolves defence to be busy. That includes central defender Romain Saiss, who was no stranger to the referee’s notebook last term.

Only two players picked up more yellow cards than Saiss (10) last season, while he picked up 43 fouls over the course of the last campaign. With City bringing their impressive attacking talents, we can see Saiss picking up a booking.

Man City -1 Corner Handicap

City only managed one corner after going down to 10 men in their loss at Wolves last season. However, other than that they’ve dominated Wolves in terms of corners won. City have outscored Wolves in terms of corners by at least two in three of the last four meetings since the hosts were promoted.

Those three clashes saw City rack up 30 corners in total. Meanwhile, Man City recorded 105 more corners than Wolves over the course of last season, which is 2.7 more per game. As a result, we’re rounding off our 75/1 #OddsOnThat tip by backing City to have at least two more corners at Molineux.
