9/1 Both Teams To Score Acca Lands!
Been a really solid of weeks for us here at FST! Tonight’s 9/1 Both Teams To Score winner makes it our 4th acca winner in under 2 weeks!
Here’s how it all went down:
First leg we headed to the Netherlands where Vitesse took on Excelsior. This game got off to a flying start with a goal from the home side coming within 6 minutes. Vitesse continued to dominate scoring again in the 36th minute. Despite the visitors not creating that much, we were still confident they would score. 6 minutes in to the 2nd half and we had secured the first leg of the acca. A goal in the 51st minute from Marcus Edwards is what we had been waiting for. Great start.
We continued to stay in the Netherlands with the next leg. Usual high flyers took on mid tabled RKC. Despite the visitors not being in that great of form, we still fancied them to win. The home side got off to freakishly good start, scoring in the 22nd, 29th, 31st & 35th minute. Although half the work was done, this was quite concerning as this can usually kill off the other side, killing all hope of a goal. Time went on and the visitors really didn’t look like scoring! Finally in the 71st minute we had a break through with a goal from Sven Botman to make it 4-1! 2nd leg secured!!
Next up we continued to put our faith in the Netherlands Eerste Divisie! Here we saw NEC take on Telstar. Both sides struggling this season but we were very confident we would see BTTS. Flying start to this game.We saw an own goal in the 9th minute by Kick Groot to put NEC 1 up! NEC continued to dominate this game but completely against the run of play, Telstar managed to sneak a goal before the 32nd minute! Final score ended 1-1.
4th leg of the acca we saw German Giants travel to Hoffenheim. Munich were desperate for a win if they were going to challenge Dortmund for the title. It was clear to see they had the title on their mind as they come out as a completely dominant force! Inside 45 minutes the visitors were 2-0 up and showed no signs of letting up. It really didn’t look like the home side were going to score today but to our delight, Hoffenheim clawed one back and got themselves back in the game. A goal from Nico Schulz in the 59th minute made it 1-2 and took us a step closer to another winner.
Final fixture was St Truiden vs Genk. This game also got off to an extremely lively start with the home side scoring inside 2 minutes! We now had one hand on that acca win! Genk are having an incredible season so we were very sure at this point they would score. In the 29th minute the visitors levelled it up with a goal from Mbwana Samatta and BOOM! We had another winner in the bag! 9/1 BTTS acca lands! This game continued to be a thriller with St Truiden taking the lead again in the 71st minute. Genk then produced a huge come back, scoring in the 75th & 82nd minute to secure those 3 points!
Been a great couple of weeks at FST so may the winners continue!
