9/1 Snooker Accumulator Lands on Monday!
August has proven to be very successful for us here at FST!
We started the day off with a 9/1 Snooker Accumulator winner, which was followed by a 8/1 Football Acca winner on Football and 12/1 Accumulator winner on the MLB!
Here’s how the snooker Acca unfolded:
9/1 Snooker Accumulator wins
Selt 5-4 Walker – Selt to win.
Selt went into this contest as a slight favourite, due to being the higher ranked player who has shown more promise during his career. So as expected it was Selt who seized the initiative in the match winning the opening frame. However Walker battled back to take a 2-1 lead, before Selt hit his highest break of the match 63, to level the scores at the interval. Walker took the next two frames to put Selt on the ropes and needing just one more frame to close out the match. Walker’s highest break of 51 came in frame 7 but it wasn’t enough and Selt won a tight frame. Selt completed the scrappy victory taking the final two frames with a break of 55 in frame 8 and coming out on top in a close fought decider.
Milkins 5-4 Lilley – Over 6.5 frames.
Milkins the more established player wasted no time in opening up a 2-0 lead with a 69 break in the first frame followed by comfortably winning the second. Lilley was restricted to scoring just 12 points in each frame, thankfully he hit back with a 50 break in the third to half the deficit. Milkins then won the forth frame to keep our selection in the balance. Lilley showed some class with a 108 break in the next to guarantee another winning leg in our accumulator. The rest of the game seen the the scoreline swing back and forth with Milkins coming out on top with the highlight being his 87 break in frame 8.
Walden 5-3 Dale – Over 7.5 frames.
These experienced professionals know each others game well having played each other 8 times in the past with 4 victories each. Again there wasn’t much to separate the two as they shared the opening frames with Walden’s 70 break tying things up. The next two frames before the interval followed expectations and gave us the ideal 2-2 scoreline. Dale edged ahead with his highest break of the match 53 in frame 5 but it was Walden who accelerated away with three breaks of 57,70 & 51 in the next three frames to take the match.
Carter 5-0 McLeod – Race to 3 frames – Carter.
Carter secured this leg in our accumulator with ease winning the opening three frames impressively with breaks of 120, 92 & 76. Carter continued his dominance over McLeod to seal the match by winning the next two frames with contributions of 58 & 50 in the final frame. Carter our outright EW value selection was merciless form with McLeod only scoring a combined total of only 37 points in the match !.
Lisowski 5-0 Wakelin – Lisowski to win.
Another leg of the accumulator proved stress free as the on form Lisowski hit a quick fire 94 break to take the lead. The second frame was the closest frame of the match but thankfully “Jackpot” came out on top to take it. A match highest break of 115 followed from the heavy scoring Lisowski. He dashed into round 2 winning the next two frames to complete the rout with a 70 break in the final frame and a brisk average shot time of just 16.2 seconds for the match. Lisowski has been showing signs of for filling his potential and becoming a ranking event winner but may face a tricky tie next up with Mark Allen or Lyu Haotian.
Brecel 5-4 Donaldson – Over 6.5 frames.
Brecel although favourite here has been on largely disappointing form since winning his first ranking event at the start of last season. The young Belgian player threatened to run away with this match opening up a 2-0 lead with breaks of 59 & 80. Donaldson did hit back though with a 62 break in the next. Brecel snatched the fourth and hit a 52 break in the fifth frame which looked at the time like he may lead 4-1 but Donaldson hit a superb 62 counter clearance to complete our final leg. From here the next 4 frames were shared with Brecel squeezing through to the second round by winning the decider.
