Anytime Goalscorer Betting Tips and Predictions for Wednesday’s Action (with 26/1 Acca!)

Born in the south east of Ireland, Simon put his life-long love of football to good use when he started a successful independent blog in 2010. The Anytime Goalscorer market is routinely among the most popular offered by bookmakers – and it’s really as simple as it sounds.

If the player you’ve bet on hits the net for his team in regulation time (90 mins + stoppages) you win!

When bookies open an anytime goalscorer market for a fixture, you can generally back any player from either team to score.

So, whether you fancy staking on an odds-on prolific poacher, a penalty kick expert, a corner threat with a big price or a player on a hot streak – the bookmakers have you covered.

Below, we’ve focused on Wednesday’s mouthwatering fixture programme to compile a list of players to watch out for in the day’s anytime goalscorer markets complete with a tasty looking 26/1 acca.

Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United vs Sheffield United

Portuguese schemer Bruno Fernandes proved his worth to Manchester United again in the club’s 1-1 draw with Spurs last Friday – a share of the spoils that was salvaged thanks to the midfielder’s late penalty.

Bruno’s 81st minute spot kick was his third Premier League goal for United and his fourth for his new employers overall since January, and Solskjaer’s side will need every inch of the 25-year-old’s match defining ability to breach Sheffield United’s notoriously robust rearguard on Wednesday.

It could take something special to breach the Blades’ backline – and Bruno is capable of providing moments of unexpected brilliance.

Raul Jimenez

Wolves vs Bournemouth

Wolves’ cult-hero Raul Jimenez was at his explosive best for Wanderers in their 2-0 restart fixture win at West Ham on Saturday, hitting his team’s first goal to bring his tally for the campaign up to 14 in the Premier League.

The Mexican centre-forward cuts a talismanic figure for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, and the prolific 29-year-old looks well on course to run up a 20-goal haul across all competitions for the season.

Jimenez scored for Wolves in their 2-1 victory over the Cherries in November, and looks to be wielding enough confidence to make his mark against Bournemouth again on Wednesday.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah was handed a watching brief in Sunday’s largely uneventful Merseyside Derby, and Liverpool’s attacking play look far less penetrative without their leading marksman.

Salah had scored four times in three Anfield Premier League appearances before play was suspended in March, and having sat out the Reds’ 0-0 draw at Goodison, the 28-year-old should be itching for some on-pitch action.

The ex-Chelsea attacker scored twice in Liverpool’s win against Palace in last season’s corresponding fixture at Anfield, and Salah is priced generously to get back into the scoring groove against the Eagles this week.

Duvan Zapata

Atalanta vs Lazio

After four wins from five and glut of goals before the break, Atalanta carried on where they left off in their first Serie A game back in the saddle on Sunday in a thumping 4-1 battering of Sassuolo.

Colombian forward Duvan Zapata signed off with a hattrick for La Dea in their 7-2 triumph at Lecce just before the campaign’s postponement, and the 29-year-old’s two-goal showing against Sassuolo at the weekend suggests that the three-month gap in play did little to blunt his edge.

The clinical striker will likely be Atalanta’s danger man again in their crunch tie with Lazio on Wednesday, and having scored twice against the Biancocelesti earlier in his career, we’re backing Zapata to maintain his purple patch.

Romelu Lukaku

Inter vs Sassuolo

Belgian international goal-getting Romelu Lukaku continues to produce the goods for Inter, and the ex-Man Utd star’s latest strike against Sampdoria brought his total for the season up to 24 in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s side.

With eight goals in his last 10 Serie A starts, Lukaku has been key to Inter’s drive for a top three finish this term, and the 27-year-old’s looks certain to push through the 20-goal ceiling after a fine debut campaign in Italian football.

Lukaku helped himself to two of Inter’s four goals when the Milanese giants came out on the right side of a seven goal thriller against Sassuolo last year, and with his confidence up following his showing against La Samp, the poacher is one to watch again.
