Arsenal could break unwanted record at the Emirates vs West Brom
Thursday night’s Premier League fixture between Arsenal and West Brom could see as many as 20,000 empty seats which would mean the Emirates would see it’s lowest ever attendance since Arsenal’s move from Highbury in 2006.
- 59,960 – Arsenal’s average attendance in the Premier League this season (second to Man United with 75,331)
- 59,257 – Arsenal’s lowest attenadance in the Premier League this season
- 39,257 – Arsenal’s estimated new record low attendance at the Emirates
Arsenal Fans Plan To Walk Out
Not only is there going to be thousands of fans missing but it is rumored that those who do turn up will be walking out in the 75th minute in protest of Arsene Wenger.
Wenger’s position at the club has come under threat in recent times as the Gunners were once again booed off the field by their home supporters after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace but Wenger has stated that he has no plans to leave the club and will see out his current contract which see’s him at the Emirates until May 2017.
