Arsenal to lift the trophy
Manchester City have lost the last two Community Shields and have only lifted the trophy in six of their 14 appearances.
Pep Guardiola doesn’t tend to place much importance on the trophy and they face an Arsenal side that have won their last four appearances in the Community Shield, with the Gunners being the joint-second most successful club in the competition.
Bukayo Saka to score anytime
Bukayo Saka continued his rise to the top last season and was instrumental in Arsenal’s title challenge.
The 21-year-old scored 15 goals for the Gunners last season and bagged a hat-trick in his last competitive outing for England. He has scored twice in pre-season and has enjoyed some success against Manchester City recently, scoring in two of his last four appearances against Guardiola’s men.
Gabriel Martinelli 1+ shots on target
Gabriel Martinelli enjoyed a breakout season last term and should be in line to start on Sunday.
The Brazilian attacker was behind only to Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard in the shots-on-target count for his club last season and has registered at least one shot on target in 12 of his last 16 outings
Bernardo Silva to be shown a card
Bernardo Silva picked up seven yellow cards in 39 appearances for Manchester City last season and has been known to have a fiery streak.
He was booked in his last competitive game for Portugal and in Manchester City’s final Premier League game last season, while one of his bookings came against Arsenal back in February.
