Monday: Sporting vs Benfica
9:30pm, FreeSports
This huge clash between two Portuguese giants sees Sporting looking to press their title credentials. There’s always a lot on the line when these two Lisbon sides clash, especially when it is so pivotal in the title race.
Key stats:
- Sporting are unbeaten in their 15 league games this season
- Benfica have dropped points in three of their last four league matches
- Sporting boast the best defence in the division with just nine goals conceded in 15 matches
Betting tip: Sporting or draw at 4/9
Tuesday: Inter Milan vs Juventus
7:45pm, BT Sport ESPN
The first leg of this Derby d’Italia clash in the Coppa Italia semis is set to be a big one, with Juventus looking to make their mark. However, the Nerazzurri won 2-0 when these two met in January and they’ll be looking to make their mark again.
Key stats:
- Inter have won their last six home games
- The hosts are on an eight game winning run at home to Italian opposition
- Juve’s only win in their last five Coppa games was against second-tier SPAL
Betting tip: Inter win at 13/10
Wednesday: Brentford vs Bristol City
7:45pm, Sky Sports Football
After scoring seven times against Wycombe on Saturday, you can’t miss the chance to see Brentford. They have the chance to impress against Bristol City, but the hosts conceded twice to bottom-side Wycombe, so you can expect to see goals here.
Key stats:
- Brentford have won their last three home games
- Bristol City have lost five straight away games
- Brentford have won five of their last six in the league
Betting tip: Brentford win at 9/20
Thursday: Tottenham vs Chelsea
8pm, BT Sport 1
Thomas Tuchel is in, but how will his possession heavy, high-pressing style mesh with a Jose Mourinho side who like to sit back and counter? For us, it points to the new and improved Chelsea defence taking a few hits, with the Blues likely to be adventurous here.
Key stats:
- Tottenham have conceded the majority of their goals at home this season
- Outside of the bottom six, Chelsea have conceded in four of their five away trips
- Spurs have kept one clean sheet in their last four league games
Betting tip: Both teams to score at 7/10
Friday: Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich
7:30pm, BT Sport 2
Bayern are back to their impressive best, winning seven of their last eight Bundesliga games. Their league matches this term have averaged 4.3 goals per game in total, so they’re bound to entertain against Hertha.
Key stats:
- 80% of Bayern’s away league games have seen both teams score
- Bayern have won all seven clashes with the bottom six, scoring 28 times
- Hertha have lost 3-1 and 4-1 in their last two league games
Betting tip: Bayern & both teams to score at 5/4
Saturday: Juventus vs Roma
5pm, Premier Sports 1
The big game of the weekend in Italy is a chance for Juventus to press their Serie A title credentials, but it’s also a big one in the top four fight. Roma are making their own top-four push, with Juve just two-points clear of fifth. There’s a lot riding on this one.
Key stats:
- Roma have lost three of four visits to the top seven, conceding 20 goals
- Juventus have won six of nine home games this season
- The hosts have won five of their last six in Serie A
Betting tip: Juventus win at 4/5
Sunday: Marseille vs PSG
8pm, BT Sport 1
While I know you’ll end up watching Liverpool vs City on Sunday, consider this a gentle prod towards the later game in Ligue 1. PSG aren’t having the best of times, but Marseille are on a losing streak with fans baying for change. A usually volatile game will be dialled up to 11.
Key stats:
- Marseille have lost their last four games
- PSG have won four of their last five matches
- The French champions have won six of seven clashes with Marseille
Betting tip: PSG win at 3/10
