Best odds boosts for the midweek Premier League action

Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

With virtually a full round of Premier League fixtures taking place this week we’ve looked over the odds boosts on offer and picked out a few of our favourites.

There are nine games in total as Manchester City and Arsenal are not in action, as the Gunners are playing PSV in a rearranged Europa League game, and the majority of the fixtures take place on Wednesday.

Odds boosts are one of the hottest trends in betting right now and they can offer excellent value. We’ve looked over a few options from various bookmakers and selected our favourites – including a couple of boosts that match our own Premier League predictions.

Skybet Scorecast Boost

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Cristiano Ronaldo to score first and Manchester Utd to win 2-1 at 50/1

FST’s Alex Wrigley has tipped Manchester United to beat Spurs 2-1 and Skybet are offering 50/1 that happens with Cristiano Ronaldo opening the scoring for the hosts at Old Trafford. The veteran Portuguese forward is having a difficult season, but he has managed one goal and one assist in his last four games and he opened the scoring in both of United’s league wins over Tottenham last season.

Betfair Oddsboost

Newcastle vs Everton

Kieran Trippier to score from outside the box at 12/1 (was 10/1)

Kieran Trippier can be deadly from set pieces so if Newcastle get a free kick within striking distance against Everton he will be the man to take it, and Betfair are offering 12/1 on Trippier scoring from outside the box.

Skybet Price Boosts

Liverpool vs West Ham

Mohamed Salah 3+ shots on target at 3/1 (was 2/1)

Mohamed Salah scored what proved to be the winner as Liverpool overcame Manchester City 1-0 at the weekend. The Egyptian finally seems to be hitting some form after a difficult start as he also grabbed a quickfire hat-trick in the Champions League win over Rangers. Skybet have boosted Salah to 3/1 to register three attempts on target against West Ham.

Betfair OddsBoost

Bournemouth vs Southampton

Philip Billing to score or assist a goal at 9/4 (was 15/8)

This is another boost that matches our prediction as we’ve picked out a goal for Bournemouth’s Philip Billing against Southampton on the basis that he has three goals and one assist in his last five Cherries appearances, and he is now 9/4 with Betfair to either score or assist on Wednesday.
