Meetings between Manchester City and Real Madrid are becoming an annual occurrence, as the pair prepare to face off for the fourth successive season. Despite that familiarity, this match-up is far from tired – especially given their respective struggles this season.

Rodrygo to score anytime
Both defences look a little suspect heading into this clash, so goals are the way to go here. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo isn’t their biggest star, but he’s a fantastic attacking threat who makes the most of his chances. The Brazilian has a fantastic return against Manchester City, scoring four times in seven appearances against them.
Rodrygo has netted a brace in each of his last two Champions League matches, so he stands out at a good price to score anytime.
Matheus Nunes to make an assist
Nunes is another great value option. He’s a 6/1 chance for an assist due to the fact that he starts at right-back, but Pep Guardiola has him there to push him further up the pitch from a deep position.
Nunes arrived from Wolves as a playmaker type and he’s proven that in spite of his defensive role. The midfielder has eight assists to his name this season, including three in three Champions League appearances at the Etihad.
Vinicius Junior 1+ shot on target
Vini Jr has been fantastic for Real in Europe this season, scoring seven times across six appearances. The Brazilian has managed a shot on target in all of those games, recording two or more in four of his previous five in Europe.
While Nunes can push forward and be an attacking threat, he’s going to be spending time dealing with Vinicius. The Real Madrid man should get plenty of joy down that flank, so back him for a shot on target.
Lucas Vazquez to be carded
Vazquez is part of a make-shift Real Madrid backline which is set to include midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and young centre-half Raul Asencio. Vazquez will start at right-back with Dani Carvajal ruled out and City are likely to pair up Kevin De Bruyne and Omar Marmoush down that side, along with rampaging full-back Josko Gvardiol.
Vazquez has been booked six times for Real this season, including three cautions across 433 minutes in the Champions League. Despite City’s flaws, this is a massive test for the defender, so Vazquez to be carded completes this fourfold.
