Youri Tielemans isn’t one of my usual shots on target options but Villa’s Belgian midfielder has been getting a few chances lately. Tielemans has had nine attempts in total across his last five Premier League games, scoring once, and averages a solid 1.1 attempts per-game in this competition.
When he does shoot, Tielemans tends to be fairly accurate with just over a third of his attempts in Europe going down as on target and two third of his Premier League shots either on target or blocked. At a fairly big price, he looks a value play to at least test the keeper.
Nicolas Kuhn To Have 1+ Shots On Target @ EVS
Nicolas Kuhn may take a bit more responsibility in the Celtic attack now Kyogo Furuhashi has departed for Rennes and he looks a strong contender for an attempt on goal.
Kuhn averages 0.7 attempts per-game in the Champions League and only 0.1 of those are recorded as off target, the rest are either on goal or blocked. In the Premiership, he averages over one attempt per-game on target.
Alistair Johnston To Be Shown A Card @ 16/5
It could be a tough 90 minutes or so for Celtic full-back Alastair Johnston on Wednesday with Jacob Ramsey and Lucas Digne to keep tabs on, so he looks a candidate for a card.
Johnston has two bookings in seven games in Europe and he’s also picked up two yellow cards in the Premiership, while he averages 0.9 fouls per-game in this competition.
Morgan Rogers To Be Fouled 2+ Times @ 13/8
Villa attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers attracts on average over a foul per-game in both the Premier League and the Champions League so he looks another decent value option in this particular market.
Rogers has been fouled at least twice in each of his last five Premier League games and at least once in each of his last five Champions League games, and he was on the receiving end of two infringements in Villa’s last home European game against Juventus.
