Leicester vs Arsenal
Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Leicester
Leicester look incapable of losing at the moment, having come from behind to grab at least a point in each of their last four Premier League games. Arsenal, on the other hand, have been struggling for goals all season due to a lack of clinical edge up front. I’m expecting Leicester to take the victory against a lacklustre Arsenal on Saturday, but I think Arsenal will break through the poor Leicester defence at least once.
Liverpool vs Aston Villa
Correct Score Prediction: 1-1 Draw
Liverpool have lost their last two Premier League games, including a 3-0 defeat at Anfield to West Ham. They struggled against League Two side Carlisle in midweek, and had to resort to penalties to knock them out of the cup. Aston Villa will have gained some confidence from their derby win over Birmingham and they haven’t performed as badly as their results suggest this season. I fancy Villa’s luck to change and them to get a point at Anfield.
Southampton vs Swansea
Correct Score Prediction: 1-0 Southampton
Southampton looked good at times last week when they lost 3-2 to Manchester United, and Swansea have failed to win any of their last three games in all competitions. But Swansea’s defence are pretty solid, and considering the last three games between these two sides has ended 1-0 I fancy Southampton to take a 1-0 victory.
Stoke vs Bournemouth
Correct Score Prediction: 2-1 Stoke
With Stoke’s star striker Bojan making a long awaited return last weekend I think the home side’s luck will change on Saturday. Bojan was Stoke’s best player last weekend and backed this up with a goal, and there will be even more defensive vulnerabilities to take advantage of against Bournemouth. But Bournemouth have scored in every game since their 4-3 win over West Ham, so I don’t think the home side will keep a clean sheet.
West Ham vs Norwich
Correct Score Prediction: 3-1 West Ham
West Ham will have gained an enormous amount of confidence from their 2-1 victory over Manchester City last weekend. They ended the Premier League leaders’ 100% winning record at the Etihad, and made it a trio of excellent results this season. Norwich will struggle at Upton Park, especially with a defence that haven’t kept a clean sheet this season. I do think their attackers will grab a goal though, and 3-1 looks like a good prediction to me.
Newcastle vs Chelsea
Correct Score Prediction: 3-1 Chelsea
Chelsea have finally managed to pick themselves up after a dismal start to their Premier League title defence campaign. But they have now won three games in a row, including a 2-0 victory over Arsenal last season. Newcastle are still winless in the Premier League this season, and I can’t see that changing here. I think Chelsea will do a job here on a club that seems to be approaching crisis point again. 3-1 looks to be a good prediction after Chelsea’s good recent record.
