An agreement has been reached between the EFL and Sky Sports over extended coverage of the conclusion of the 2019/20 Championship season.

The deal means that 30 of the remaining 108 Championship fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, with the entertainment giant also holding exclusive rights to all 15 games to be played across all EFL divisions in the playoffs.

In addition, the 30 live Championship fixtures will also be streamed on club’s iFollow services with free access for season ticket holders, along with the remaining 78 matches.

Not a season ticket holder? Not to worry, supporters will be able to purchase these games for a match price pass of £10, and Sky Sports will be showing all the goals from these matches.

When is the Championship back?

The Championship is set to return behind closed doors on June 20th, just a few days after the Premier League returns to our screens.

While the Premier League have recently announced the first three weeks of fixtures, the Championship are yet to decide on a finalised fixture list. They have, however, released a guide to the rescheduled kickoff times to allow for the increase broadcast demand.

Friday night fixtures will be staggered to 6pm and 8pm kickoff times.

Saturday’s matches will kick off at 12:30pm, 3pm and 5:30pm.

Sunday’s games will be played at 12pm.

There will also be a host of midweek rounds to cope with the condensed fixture list, with matches on Tuesdays and Wednesdays set to be staggered across 5pm, 6pm and 8pm kickoff times.

The EFL hope that the  remaining 108 Championship matches can be completed by July 22nd. The playoffs will then take place over the next 10 days, with the Championship Play-Off Final pencilled in for Sunday 2nd or Monday 3rd of August.
