Crazy Odds bets for this weekend's football with 100,000/1 longshot
Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
Here at FST we build our match predictions and football tips on all the latest stats and analysis, serving you up our best bet from Europe’s biggest games. However, each weekend brings one or two longshots which catch everyone off-guard.
Crazy Odds is our look at the very best longshot prices for this weekend’s action. Far removed from our bet of the day selections, this is our attempt at predicting some outlandish turns from Saturday and Sunday’s games.
This weekend we’ve covered the FA Cup, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie bringing you six tips including our 100,775/1 Crazy Odds Weekender.
FA Cup Crazy Odds bets
Kidderminster vs West Ham – 12:30pm, Saturday
West Ham 2+ goals & 3+ corners in each half; & Kidderminster 2+ cards in each half at 250/1
We have a huge mismatch on the cards in Saturday’s first FA Cup game, with West Ham visiting sixth-tier Kidderminster. While this is undoubtedly the story of the cup so far this term, the Hammers should field a strong side and win it comfortably.
My Kidderminster vs West Ham predictions back a 4-1 away win in a tough afternoon for the non-league hosts. If the Hammers start out with a close to full-strength side they should be incredibly dominant, making this 250/1 OddsOnThat selection tempting.
Tottenham vs Brighton – 8pm, Saturday
Harry Kane & Son Heung-min to score; Lewis Dunk & Yves Bissouma to be carded at 50/1
Saturday’s FA Cup action finishes up with an all-Premier League clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Spurs’ six game winning run at home to Brighton should continue. The hosts will be reliant on their two main attacking threats once again, with Dejan Kulusevski not expected to start.
Son is back from injury and his impressive partnership with Kane means I’m backing both to put Brighton to the sword. Meanwhile, you can get 50/1 on those two to score with Dunk and Bissouma to be carded. Bissouma is Brighton’s most carded player this term, while Dunk has yet to be booked this season despite receiving 26 yellows across his last four Premier League campaigns.
European Crazy Odds bets
Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig, 5;30pm, Saturday
Nkunku to score first & Bayern win at 25/1
Bayern are expected to handily deal with Leipzig this weekend, but our Bayern vs Leipzig prediction of a 3-2 win is a reminder of Leipzig’s threat. The visitors are expected to start with Christopher Nkunku up front, who is a man for the big occasion.
The Frenchman has struck nine Bundesliga goals this term, while he hit seven in six Champions League group matches. He scored the opening goal in four of those six games, so back him to catch out Bayern before the German giants spark a comeback.
PSV vs AZ – 7pm, Saturday
Pavlidis to score first & AZ to win 2-1 at 75/1
AZ are one of the form sides in the Eredivisie, winning six of their last seven league games. They come into this game on a three-match winning run on the road, with each of those finishing 2-1. On top of that, AZ won at league leaders Ajax during that streak.
PSV are fresh from a home defeat and they look vulnerable once again. Given AZ’s winning run on the road another 2-1 victory for the visitors is worth considering, while you can beef up that price by backing Evangelos Pavlidis to strike first. He’s scored in five of his last eight domestic games, while his strike at Ajax is one of four occasions in which he’s opened the scoring in the Eredivisie this term.
Bologna vs Empoli – 2pm, Sunday
Empoli to win 4-2 at 50/1
Across Europe’s major leagues, no side has returned more profit this season based on a £1 stake per game than Empoli. Of their eight league wins this season, half of them have come by two clear goals.
Meanwhile, the majority of Bologna’s home defeats this season have been by three goals, despite scoring 16 times in 11 at their own ground. The hosts head into this one having lost six of their last seven, while Empoli have shipped at least two goals in their last five league starts. Given that run, a repeat of their 4-2 win over Bologna from earlier this term is worth a look at 50/1.
