MK Dons vs Colchester – MK Dons to win & BTTS at 12/5 with bet365
MK Dons are making a charge towards the play-off spots in League Two and the Boxing Day visit of Colchester looks like a great chance for Mike Williamson’s troops to record a third straight win.
Colchester are hovering just above the drop zone and have lost their last four away from home across all competitions. MK Dons should win here and a home win with both teams to score appeals, as Colchester have scored in each of their last five League Two outings despite losing four of those.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa – Villa to win at 8/5 with bet365
Aston Villa may have struggled against Sheffield United but that shouldn’t matter in their visit to a Manchester United side who are in dire form. The Red Devils failed to score for the fourth game running on Saturday, while they’ve now lost six of their last 10 at Old Trafford.
United have been beaten in six of their seven meetings with the top nine this term, having been embarrassed by stronger sides in every competition. Aston Villa head into this one 11 points clear of Erik ten Hag’s strugglers and they’re good value to extend that lead.
Mark Langdon
Bradford vs Morecambe – Bradford to win at 3/4 with bet365
Bradford are often referred to as the sleeping giants of League Two but they are being woken up by new boss Graham Alexander and the Bantams can punch at their weight by seeing off Morecambe.
It’s six wins in a row for City in all competitions and the benefit of Friday’s victory over Doncaster was an extra day of rest compared to Morecambe, who face a quicker turnaround from Saturday’s 3-1 home reverse at the hands of MK Dons.
Forwards Andy Cook and Tyler Smith, who were both on target at Donny, are both in double figures for the season and they should have too much firepower in front of a bumper crowd.
Ian Wilkerson
Swindon vs Wrexham – Wrexham to win at 4/5 with bet365
Hype follows Wrexham wherever they play in League Two, but they can live up to all the attention when they travel to Swindon.
The Welsh outfit have lost just one of their last ten games and can see off the Robins, whose 2-1 loss at Tranmere on Saturday was their third successive defeat and have lost three of their last four at the County Ground.
Wrexham’s home form has been the cornerstone of their promotion challenge, but they have suffered two defeats from ten on the road and can add a successful trip to Wiltshire to their wins at Notts County, Crawley and Tranmere.
Liam Flin
Coventry vs Sheffield Wednesday – Coventry to win at 8/11 with bet365
Coventry are a long way off where they were last season but they showed signs of promise with a 3-0 win away to Sunderland on Saturday and look a solid bet at home to struggling Sheffield Wednesday.
The Sky Blues have lost just one of their last eight matches with that run featuring fixtures against Ipswich, Leeds and Southampton, as well as the Black Cats, and they are only a couple of wins off the playoff places in the Championship.
As for Wednesday, they have collected only 16 points from 23 matches in the second tier this term and lost 2-1 at home to Cardiff last time out.
Tom Hill
Bournemouth vs Fulham – Bournemouth to win at 23/20 with bet365
After a slow start, Bournemouth are now charging up the table under coach Andoni Iraola, and they can make it four wins on the spin on Boxing Day.
The Cherries are unbeaten in six, winning five of those matches, and they have scored at least two goals in all of those contests. Fulham have lost two on the bounce in the league, and they look a little lost without the suspended Raul Jimenez. Their defeat to strugglers Burnley will have hit them hard before Christmas, and they should come unstuck against Iraola’s relentless outfit.
Jamie Griffith
Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest – Newcastle to win at 1/2 with bet365
Newcastle can bounce back immediately from a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Luton on Saturday when they take on Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s opening game as Reds’ boss ended in heartbreak as his side conceded a 94th minute winner to Bournemouth on Saturday and things will not get any easier for the Portuguese boss in his second assignment, a trip to St. James’ Park where the Magpies have won their last seven Premier League matches, including six victories to nil.
Newcastle did the double over the Tricky Trees last season and Eddie Howe’s side should be too strong for their visitors once again.
