Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich – Bayern to win and BTTS at 11/8 with bet365

Gladbach finished 2024 on a strong note, winning their final two games. However, six of their seven victories so far this term have come against the bottom seven. They’ve lost four of eight outings against the rest of the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich have struggled against the top six, winning one of five games. However, they’ve got a 100% record against sides seventh and below. The Bavarians have seen their defensive standards slip lately, with BTTS landing in their last four.

Both teams have scored in Gladbach’s last four Bundesliga outings, while the hosts have found the net in all of their home games this term. Back them to score in a home defeat.

Brest vs Lyon – Lyon to win at 5/4 with bet365

Fifth-placed Lyon have won six of their last seven games in all competitions with their only defeat in that impressive run coming at runaway Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain in the middle of December.

OL are in the mix for a top-three finish this season and can maintain their good form with a win at Brest on Saturday.

The hosts, meanwhile, are nine points worse off in 12th place in the French top flight after a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Angers last weekend.

Gareth Freeman

Tenerife vs Castellon – Castellon to win at 13/8 with bet365

Tenerife sit rock bottom of La Liga 2 and have shown very little fight in recent weeks. Tete lost 3-0 at home to Levante in their last game and have lost their last five across all competitions, while they have managed just two wins in 20 league games – losing 13.

Visitors Castellon aren’t in great form themselves but they have at least been picking up points with just two losses in their last seven. Dick Schreuder’s side sit in mid-table but have the fourth best away record in the division and they’re not completely out of the promotion race, and they can boost their play-off chances with three points against doomed Tenerife on Saturday.

Tom McGarry

Empoli vs Lecce – Under 1.5 goals at 7/4 with bet365

Empoli are the lowest home scorers in Serie A this season, netting just three goals across their nine matches at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, but they have only conceded eight times on their own patch – only three teams have a better record than that.

Lecce are certainly unlikely to trouble the scoresheet when they head north to Tuscany, as they are the division’s lowest scorers by some distance, with only two of their 11 goals coming on their travels.

Each of the last five meetings between these two sides have featured a maximum of two goals and based on current form, we might be lucky to get that on Saturday.

Sevilla vs Valencia – Sevilla to win at 1/1 with bet365

Neither of these sides are enjoying themselves this season, but Sevilla should be able to continue their resurgence at home to a Valencia side who find themselves second-bottom in the La Liga table.

Los Che have taken just two points from the last 18 available and they came against 16th-placed Alaves and 18th-placed Espanyol. Sevilla beat Celta Vigo 1-0 in their last home game to make it five wins from their last seven outings at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with 73% of their points coming in front of their own fans this term.

Henry Hardwicke

Leicester vs QPR – QPR to win at 4/1 with bet365

I think there’s a good chance of an FA Cup third-round upset when QPR head to Leicester on Saturday.

Rangers have lost only one of their last 11 matches, the Hoops have beaten Luton, Watford, Norwich and Cardiff, to name a few, on that run and Marti Cifuentes is getting a real tune out of his young and talented squad.

Leicester are a Premier League side, but the Foxes are likely to be back in the Championship next season and they have lost ten of their last 13 games.

Rudd van Nistelrooy has made little progress since taking over from Steve Cooper and his side are heading for another defeat.
