Sassuolo vs Atalanta – BTTS at 1/2

Atalanta are making great progress in their Champions League chase but they clash with a Sassuolo side who have won each of their last four games. While this is a test for la Dea, they did thump Sassuolo 5-1 when the pair met earlier this season.

It’s worth backing another high scoring encounter when the pair clash on Sunday. Sassuolo have scored in 11 consecutive home Serie A games, with 75% of their home league games this season seeing both teams find the net. Atalanta have scored 17 times in their last seven matches and with  fantastic form behind both backing BTTS is the way to go.

Monaco vs Lyon – Monaco over 1.5 team goals at 5/6

Lyon threw away a two goal lead at home to Lille last weekend to severely damage their Ligue 1 title aspirations. This came just four days after they were dumped out of Coupe de France by Monaco, and another difficult meeting with their fellow title challengers could be on the cards on Sunday.

Monaco are just two points off the top spot heading into the weekend and have won their last four competitive games, scoring an impressive nine goals en route. They have netted at least twice in five of their last seven matches and can punish a Lyon defence that have shipped five goals in their last two matches.

Monaco vs Lyon – Monaco to win @ 6/5

Monaco bested Lyon 2-0 in the Coup de France less than two weeks ago and the Ligue 1 title contenders can repeat the trick back in the Principality on Sunday. The hosts have won six and drawn two of their last eight league assignments at the Stade Louis II and Monaco’s combination of momentum and class should be too powerful for Lyon to absorb.

Football journalist and EFL expert at Racing Post.

Bordeaux vs Rennes – Rennes to win at 7/10

Rennes have taken 16 points from the last 18 available to them after a thumping 5-1 victory over Dijon last weekend and they should be too strong for another of Ligue 1’s strugglers.

Sunday’s hosts Bordeaux have lost 11 of their last 13 league games and their last three defeats have been by three-goal margins against Saint-Etienne, Monaco and Lorient.

Things are unlikely to improve against a Rennes side who have scored seven goals in their last three away matches and have striker Martin Terrier in fine form after finding the net five times in his last five appearances.

Henry Hardwicke

Manchester United vs Liverpool – Man United to win at 13/8

It’s a little surprising to see that Manchester United are not clear favourites to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday but that’s no bad news for backers of the Red Devils.

Of course, United have Europa League commitments to consider, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Liverpool have won just one of their last five matches and scored only five goals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t a manager that tends to make huge changes in terms of team selection and his side look good value 7-4 chances.

Liam Flin

Football journalist and La Liga and Bundesliga expert at Racing Post.

Monaco vs Lyon – Monaco to win at 6/5

Monaco beat Lyon in the French Cup only last month and they can emulate that result in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The principality side are on a nine-match unbeaten run across all competitions and are jostling with PSG and Lille for the Ligue 1 title.

Niko Kovac’s men have shown they can handle the big occasions this term, beating PSG away from home and holding Lille to a draw since the start of the year and they can account for Les Gones, who have lost their last two fixtures.
