Who to Bench
Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester Players
Ten of the Premier League’s teams are in action twice this gameweek, but Leicester and Spurs are among the half that aren’t. We are expecting wins for both of them, but you could have better options lying around who are ready to play twice this week.
Everton Attackers
Everton’s shining lights Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku are both doubtful for this week’s fixtures, and even if they do play I wouldn’t expect too much. They have looked jaded going forward against Watford and Crystal Palace recently and we’re not expecting them to have much luck against Southampton.
Who to Buy
Alexis Sanchez – Price: 10.9 Million
Arsenal have two matches coming up this gameweek, playing twice at the Emirates against Crystal Palace and West Brom. The Chilean forward has bagged extra points in each of his last three appearances and should be able to grab a goal or three this week. Definitely a strong contender for captain as well.
Manuel Lanzini – 4.9 Million
West Ham are also one of the ten teams to play twice this gameweek, and Lanzini is on offer for the bargain basement price of 4.9 million. He terrorised defences in the first half of the season before injury saw him out for a while, but he’s back again and he could bag some points against Watford this week.
Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford
Manchester United have two very winnable fixtures as Aston Villa and Crystal Palace come to Old Trafford. After their stellar performance at Upton Park in midweek we could see a late resurgence from Manchester United, and I would expect these two youngsters to be at the centre of everything good the Man United attack has to offer.
Manchester United Defenders
The two fixtures against Palace and Villa are definite contenders for clean sheets, and Manchester United’s clean sheets record at Old Trafford is exceptional. Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a contender at just 3.9 million, although Chris Smalling offers a bulkier addition to your squad at 6.5 million.
Kevin De Bruyne – Price: 10.3 Million
The Belgian playmaker announced his return from injury with a stellar performance against Bournemouth and he’ll be hoping to play against both Chelsea and Newcastle this gameweek as Manchester City look to strengthen their position in the top four.
