Football Transfer News and Rumours –Mon 8th August

Wilfried Bony – Swansea/Everton

After a poor time at Manchester City, it appears that Wilfried Bony could soon be offered a move away from the Etihad Stadium. Now falling below youngster Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order, it seems that Everton and Swansea will give him the chance to revitalise his career.

Eliaquim Mangala – Out of Manchester City

It appears that another Man City on their way out of the Etihad is  Frenchman Eliaquim Mangala. After a disappointing time in England, it is likely that he’ll be looking for a move away, especially with the likely signing of Everton youngster John Stones this summer. Porto may be an option, as may Valencia, however no concrete interest seems to have been shown so far.

Georges-Kevin N’koudou – Tottenham

The deal to sign Georges-Kevin N’koudou from Marseille looks to be almost complete. The midfielder will move to North London with Tottenham with 22-year old Clinton N’Jie moving the other way. It doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be a first team player next season but may be used in rotation as Tottenham have the additional strains of Champions League football.

Andre Ayew and Arthur Masuaku – West Ham

Slaven Bilic has confirmed that the signings of Andre Ayew from Swansea City and Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos are “only a matter of paperwork” and will soon join him at the Olympic Stadium. They could have signed Ayew last summer on a free, but they must instead pay £20 million for the striker now.

Christian Benteke – Besiktas

Turkish champions Besiktas are looking to replace Mario Gomez with Liverpool flop Benteke. They are reportedly willing to offer £21.1 million for the striker or take him on loan. A bid of £25 million from Crystal Palace has reportedly already been rejected, so it seems like a loan move may be the only option.

Borja Baston – Swansea

Swansea are looking to add to the signing of striker Fernando Llorente from Sevilla with the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Borja Baston. They will have to break their transfer record to make the move however, with a deal rumoured to cost around £15 million.
