European top-flight action is on pause for the next couple of weeks but there’s still plenty of football elsewhere and I thought I’d kick the week off with a roundup of some of the best Betfair OddsBoosts available for Tuesday’s EFL and lesser European action.

3 or more goals in each English League 1 match – 12/1

There are four League One fixtures scheduled for Tuesday and if you fancy a goalfest you can get 12/1 on there being three or more goals in each of those matches.

This isn’t just a blind punt, either. You can make a fairly strong argument for all of them.

Barrow were involved in a nine-goal thriller in the FA Cup earlier this month and three of their last four games have produced at least three goals, while visiting Salford have seen the overs land in two of their last three.

Scunthorpe vs Bristol Rovers is probably the toughest one to argue for, but even then the visitors have seen three or more goals in four of their last six matches and the two that didn’t both produced a couple of goals.

Leyton Orient’s last five home games have produced a hefty 18 goals and they face a Newport side that have shipped six times in their last three away games.

Finally, Walsall have seen 17 goals in their last five games and over 2.5 goals has landed in three of Bradford City’s last five League Two outings.

Excelsior, Bradford & Luton all to win – 12/1

Excelsior and ADO Den Haag are separated by just two points in the Eerste Divisie but the visitors were thrashed 5-0 to Roda JC on Friday and have lost their last two trips to fellow top-eight sides, while Excelsior are unbeaten in four home games and have won two of their last three.

Back to England now and Bradford, winners in two of their last four games, travel to a Walsall outfit that have lost three on the trot. They have won just one of their last nine home games and that came against the lowly Colchester.

Heading to the Championship, Luton have won three of their last four matches and each of their last two at home. Bristol City’s last trip away was a 6-2 mauling at the hands of Fulham and they are now winless in six away games, losing five of those.

Swansea & Stoke both to win – 11/1

Big odds for a simple to-win double, Swansea are tough to back at the moment but they showed signs of a resurgence with their win over Preston on Saturday. They have taken seven points from their last five away games and while QPR are pushing for promotion they have still lost two of their last three home league games.

Stoke are much more fancied, however. They have hit form on the road of late with four wins from their last five trips, while Coventry have lost their last three Championship games at home.

2 or more goals in each Championship match – 10/3

Our Championship predictions hint at goals in all five games on Tuesday and it’s easy to see why.

Coventry and Stoke have seen just one game go under 1.5 in their last eight combined league outings, while QPR and Swansea have each seen at least two goals in three of their last four fixtures.

Luton and Bristol City’s streak of over 1.5 goals stretches back six league games apiece and both Birmingham and Peterborough haven’t seen fewer than two goals in a league game since November.

Nottingham Forest vs Barnsley is perhaps the hardest to justify, but even they have only had three games go under 1.5 in their last ten combined home and away matches.

Birmingham & Nottingham Forest both to win – 5/2

Birmingham may be struggling this season but they ended a six-game winless run at home to Barnsley on Saturday and they should be able to spark a resurgence when they host a Peterborough side that have lost six consecutive away games, conceding 17 and scoring just one in the process.

Nottingham Forest are fancied to win even more after a 2-1 success over Derby made it three wins on the trot in all competitions, including an excellent FA Cup triumph over Arsenal. They face rock-bottom Barnsley who are winless in nine Championship games and have lost eight of their last nine trips.
