Golf betting tips: Golf in Dubai Championship predictions

With the season-ending DP World Tour Championship one week away, the European Tour has sensibly given players the option of competing for two weeks in Dubai with several star names opting to fine-tune their skills at the Golf in Dubai Championship.

Like the Tour Championship, the Golf in Dubai will take place at Jumeirah Golf Estates but, instead of the familiar Earth Course which will host next week, this event, which starts on Wednesday, will take place on the Fire Course.

Never used on the European Tour before, the Fire is another Greg Norman-designed layout which will no doubt share many similarities with the neighbouring Earth.

We’ve got betting tips and predictions for this year’s competition, and remember – bet365 recently launched a brand-new feature to revolutionise in-play golf betting.

bet365’s Live Golf Tracker features real time shot-by-shot data, accurate ball tracking on the fairway and green, the ability to navigate between holes through the interactive course visualisation and the inclusion of live streaming of two Par-3 holes per day.

This new introduction is revolutionary to the world of in-play betting, and you can learn more about it here and sign up to bet365 using the banner below.

Golf in Dubai Championship predictions

Course and location: Jumeirah Golf Estates (Fire course), Dubai, UAE

Start time: 4am Wednesday, December 3rd

Where to watch: Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event

Golf in Dubai winners prediction: Adri Arnaus at 30/1

Robert MacIntyre, sixth in South Africa last week, tops the betting but the Scot may have to play second fiddle to a man who was tied with him at Leopard Creek, rising star Adri Arnaus.

Arnaus continues to impress, finishing fifth in Italy when well backed and again at the Alfred Dunhill, where he undoubtedly should have got closer to winner Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

The Spaniard is yet to win on the European Tour, and is becoming frustrating for his backers, but he is a Dubai resident who has been savouring the idea of playing back-to-back events in his adopted home.

The 26-year-old was a creditable 28th on debut among elite company in the 2019 DP World Tour Championship and again played well in the gulf state when third in the Desert Classic at the beginning of the year.

He will relish the chance to attack the Fire Course, and he’s not the only one.

Golf in Dubai winners prediction: Sami Valimaki at 30/1

Another rising star looking forward to this is Finnish rookie Sami Valimaki, who is coming towards the end of a hugely impressive debut season.

Valimaki immediately showed a liking for golf in this part of the world when triumphing at the Oman Open at Norman-designed Al Mouj Golf Club in March,

The Finnish slugger has since enjoyed back-to-back top-six finishes in Wales followed by another fine top-ten at Valderrama.

He would go on to finish 13th among the European Tour’s best at Wentworth and showed his game was still in excellent nick with sixth and 18th-placed finishes in Cyprus. This enormous talent is a big player here.
