There are just two weeks to go until the US Open and the PGA Tour heads to one of its most  celebrated stops of the season this week for the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Ohio.

Jon Rahm claimed a three-shot victory in the tournament last year and heads the market but Jordan Spieth will be anxious to go one better this week after he finished second to Jason Kokrak at the Charles Schwab Challenge on Sunday.

But it is a strong field and we’ve got some predictions for the tournament that has traditionally attracted the cream of the world’s players.

Memorial Tournament betting tips and predictions

Spieth has finished in the top ten in five of his last six tournaments and another victory may not be far away from the Texan, who has claimed three Majors in his career.

He has two top-ten finishes at the Memorial in eight attempts and was 13th last year, while Raham has shown great consistency, finishing in the top ten in nine of his last 13 tournaments, but there are others who can make strong claims this week.

Memorial Tournament course guide and where to watch

Course: Muirfield Village GC, Dublin, Ohio

Par: 72

Field: 120

Time difference: Ohio is five hours behind the UK & Ireland

Memorial Tournament winner prediction: Collin Morikawa at 16/1

While Rahm and Spieth, let alone Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy, will get plenty of attention this week, former US PGA champion Collin Morikawa may have slipped under the radar.

Morikawa was 48th in his first attempt to win this tournament last year, but that came a week after he collected the Workday Charity Open title on the same course, so the 24-year-old has proved he can tackle this week’s track.

He has now established himself among the game’s elite, has since won the WGc Workday Championship at The Concession and has been steady since his 18th at The Masters.

Morikawa was 14th at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week and is ranked as the best tee-to-green player on the PGA Tour, which is an advantage on a course which is regarded as one of the toughest tests of the year.

Memorial Tournament alternative prediction: Corey Conners at 33/1

Consistent Canadian Corey Conners has also stepped up in the last 12 months and he is worth considering to claim his second PGA title this week.

He has posted 11 top-20 finishes since he was tenth at the Masters in November and that run included eighth spot at a subsequent Augusta appearance in April.

The 2019 Valero Texas Open champion is the sort of accurate type to flourish at Muirfield Village and there is room for improvement on his 22nd spot from last year.
