How do I Win Dividends on Football Index?

You’ve built a portfolio of players on Football Index and now you’re hoping that over the next few weeks and months, you’ll see price rises across the board and dividends will start rolling in.

But what are dividends and how can you earn them? It is important to know the different three ways that you can earn dividends from your portfolio:

  1. Match Day Dividends
  2. Media Dividends
  3. In-play Dividends

Match Day Dividends

These are the highest paying dividends on Football Index. All matches from the top 5 leagues (Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1) as well as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League are eligible.

Football Index uses Opta statistics to assign points to an event during a match. That means that if a player scores a goal, creates a lot of chances or makes a load of key passes, they will accumulate a lot of points and climb the Match Day Rankings.

Each player who tops their position category (Goalkeeper/Defender, Midfielder & Forward) is rewarded and an additional dividend is paid for the overall top scorer, known as the Star Player.

Match Days are broken down into 3 tiers.

  1. Single Day – 1-4 games
  2. Double Day – 5-14 games
  3. Triple Day – 15+ games or European Quarter Finals or further

On single days, payouts are 4p per position and 2p for Star Player, double days are 8p and 4p respectively and triple days are 12p and 6p.

It is important to note that players must be purchased before 14:00 to be eligible to win dividends that day.

Media Dividends

Football Index monitors the feed of the following news publications throughout the day to see who is dominating the headlines:

Talksport, UEFA, The FA, ESPN, FIFA, Football League, Daily Mail, Daily Star, The Times, Telegraph, Independent, Express, Guardian, Metro, Daily Mirror, BBC, Football365, Goal.com, Huffington Post and Sky Sports.

Each day there are games in Match Day eligible competitions, only the player topping the Media Rankings at midnight will win dividends of 5p per share.

On days where there are no eligible matches, Media Ranking dividends are paid out as follows:

1st – £0.08

2nd – £0.05

3rd – £0.02

This means that 365 days a year, you can earn money on the world’s first football stock market!

In-play Dividends

This is the newest way to earn dividends on Football Index and it is perhaps the most exciting addition yet!

Dividends can be earned on goals, assists and clean sheets for the first 30 days that you own a share:

  • 2p per Goal for a Forward or Midfielder
  • 3p per Goal by a Defender or Goalkeeper
  • 1p per Assist by any position
  • 2p for a Starting Goalkeeper Clean Sheet over the full game

There is no 14:00 deadline for purchasing shares to qualify which means you can buy into a player after he has scored, assisted or kept a clean sheet. However you have to hold onto your shares until midnight in order to earn the dividends.

This is sure to attract your attention if you’re into in-play betting or predicting first/anytime goalscorers. It also means that a lot more players on Football Index now have the opportunity to make you plenty of money!
