Huge 15,911/1 treble for three golf tournaments this week

There are three golf events this week – the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Kenya Open and the Puerto Rico Open – and Racing Post golf expert Steve Palmer has put together a huge 15,911/1 treble covering the tournaments.

Steve has been in excellent of form of late, picking out Joaquin Niemann to win the Genesis Invitational at 60/1 and landing an each-way win in the Honda Classic last week courtesy of Alexander Noren’s tie for fifth place.  As always he recommends backing his selections as an each-way treble – which would result in a healthy profit if all three finish in the top five in their respective tournaments.

Read on to see who he is backing and to back our bet.

Arnold Palmer, Kenya Open & Puerto Rico Open Treble Tip

Golf punters have three tournaments to consider this week – one on the DP World Tour and two on the PGA Tour – and that provides the opportunity for an each-way treble.

The odds become enormous when three players are put together – and the recommended investment for this week is Oliver Bekker, Scottie Scheffler and Kurt Kitayama, which is a 15,911/1 chance at prices of 35/1, 16/1 and 25/1.

Bekker is a South African who will be able to hit the ground running in the Kenya Open. The 37-year-old has plenty of course experience at Muthaiga Golf Club, which has taken over as venue this time. Bekker was sixth in his last appearance at the track and has been in fantastic form in recent months.

Scheffler seems a strong option for the Arnold Palmer Invitational – the highlight of the golfing week. Victory in the Phoenix Open was followed by seventh place in the Genesis Invitational – and Scheffler is up to sixth in the world rankings. This will be Scheffler’s second start at the famous Bay Hill track. He was 15th on his debut, which came in his PGA Tour rookie season, and is playing well enough to contend more seriously this time.

Complete the treble with Kitayama, who seems to have as good a chance as anyone in the Puerto Rico Open. Kitayama got his PGA Tour career back on track with third place in the Honda Classic on Sunday, banking a cheque for $552,000, and the 29-year-old Californian has enjoyed an immense boost in levels of self-belief. The two-time European Tour champion is well suited to the assignment at Grand Reserve Golf Club, where he finished 17th in his only previous Puerto Rico start, and there is nobody in this field who he will fear.
