League Two predictions, betting tips and best bets
Barrow vs Scunthorpe
FST predicts: Barrow to Win
Out of sorts Scunthorpe have lost on recent away trips to League Two’s bottom three Southend, Grimsby and Stevenage, and The Iron may lose out to another relegation rival in Barrow.
The Cumbrians secured positive results at home to Forest Green, Cheltenham and Tranmere recently and a test at the Progression Solicitors Stadium against Scunthorpe should prove a little easier.
Leyton Orient vs Morecambe
FST predicts: Both Teams to Score
Morecambe have won four home league games on the bounce, though the Shrimps are in for a tough test at Leyton Orient, who have won six of their last seven contests at home.
Morecambe beat Orient 2-1 at the Globe Arena before Christmas and the net has bulged at both ends in 11 of their last 14 league games. Action at either end is anticipated here.
Grimsby Town vs Southend United
FST predicts: Southend United Double Chance
League Two’s bottom two clubs face-off at Blundell Park where Southend look worth backing to avoid defeat.
The visitors have made major improvements of late, losing only one of their last seven fixtures while keeping four clean sheets in the process. The Mariners, meanwhile, are winless in five, and they could find it tough to harness home advantage.
Newport County vs Salford City
FST predicts: Newport County to Win
Newport showed how formidable they can be at Rodney Parade when they took Premier League side Brighton to penalties in the third round of the FA Cup last weekend.
The Exiles sit second in League Two and having won seven of their nine league games on their own patch, they could prove too strong for Salford.
Stevenage Borough vs Tranmere Rovers
FST predicts: Draw
Stevenage have seen results and performances spike in recent weeks and the hosts should have enough momentum to avoid defeat at home to Tranmere.
Despite languishing in 22nd place, Stevenage have lost only three of their last 12 league games, though six of those matches finished level. Expect them to grab another useful point against Rovers.
