Massive 2592/1 each-way treble for this weekend's golf tournaments!

While the world of golf seems to be tearing itself apart right now, we have reached a happy medium featuring three high-quality tours happening simultaneously. While the long term prospects aren’t great, in the short-term it’s opened up new avenues for punters.

This week the Racing Post’s golf expert has picked out a winner from each of this week’s big events, with the each-way treble clocking in at a huge 2592/1.

2592/1 Golf each-way treble

The invention of the LIV Golf circuit has received widespread publicity over the last few months – the controversial new mega-bucks tour has attracted Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau – and the rights and wrongs of it can be debated for ages.

Looking at the fresh golfing landscape purely from a punting perspective, though, it means there will be lots of weeks where there are three decent men’s events taking place, providing the opportunity for an each-way treble. This week, the second LIV Golf offering starts in Oregon at 9pm UK and Ireland time on Thursday, so it can be used as one third of an ambitious treble which pays more than 2,991/1 with one leading bookmaker.

That is the odds reached if you put Shane Lowry to win the Irish Open (17/2) with Adam Hadwin to win the John Deere Classic (20/1) and Talor Gooch to win the LIV Golf Portland (12/1).

Lowry seems a favourite to trust in his homeland this week. The Offaly man has been consistently contending for titles on the PGA Tour, including finishing third in the Masters in April, and he has been performing at a level that most of the humdrum Mount Juliet field can only dream about. Lowry closed with a 66 at Mount Juliet last year, seemingly getting a handle on the layout.

Hadwin has also been in excellent form, finishing ninth at Sawgrass, seventh in the Valspar Championship, fourth in the Texas Open and seventh in the US Open. The Canadian’s short-game class should be shown to great effect at TPC Deere Run, while improving 30-year-old Gooch can contend in the 54-hole LIV Golf Portland. The Witch Hollow venue is typically a tight, tricky layout, so Gooch’s long-game precision makes him a lively runner.
