MLS predictions for Saturday with 105/1 accumulator tip

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Saturday night is a busy one in MLS, with no fewer than 12 matches. There’s less than a month left of the regular season, as sides chase down a place in the Play-offs.

Ahead of this weekend’s games, we’ve got a best bet from eight of those 12 games, which combine for a massive 105/1 MLS Mega acca.

MLS Mega Accumulator

New York Red Bulls vs New England Revolution

Best bet – both teams to score

The Revs are struggling to keep the ball out of their own net, averaging 2 goals against per away match. While the Red Bulls are coming off a home defeat, they haven’t failed to score in consecutive home games all season. Both teams have scored in three of the last four meetings between the pair and based off their recent defensive records we’re backing the same again.

Atlanta United vs Toronto FC

Best bet – over 3.5 goals

Atlanta United have the ability to find the back of the net at home, averaging 1.86 goals per match at Mercedes’ Benz Stadium this campaign.

Meanwhile, Toronto’s Italian pair are having fun in MLS, Insigne has netted 6 goals while Bernardeschi has 7 goals in 10 games. Atlanta haven’t kept a clean sheet in 6 home contests, so back this one to be high-scoring.

FC Cincinnati vs San Jose Earthquakes

Best bet – Cincinnati win

The Quakes head out on the road where they have struggled all season long, collecting 1 win in 14 road appearances. San Jose have conceded 32 goals on their travels, so back Cincinnati to take advantage of that, having averaged 1.93 goals per match at home this term.

Seattle Sounders vs Austin

Best bet – over 2.5 goals

The Sounders have seen over 2.5 goals in eight of their last nine games, while they face an Austin side who have plenty of threat themselves.  The visitors are averaging 2.1 goals per match, so expect an entertaining encounter with at least three goals shared between the pair.

FC Dallas vs Los Angeles FC

Best bet – over 2.5 goals

Dallas are fully capable of netting a goal or two at home this season averaging 1.6 goals per match. LAFC is averaging 2 goals per match this campaign. The visitors have been a bit sketchy on their travels, failing to keep a clean sheet in their previous seven trips. Given how adventurous the away side tend to be, back at least three goals.

Houston Dynamo vs Sporting KC

Best bet – Houston to win

Dynamo are coming off a 2-1 road loss to the Seattle Sounders last weekend, which unfortunately cost head coach Paulo Nagamura his job. However, they are capable of bouncing back against a Kansas City side who are averaging 2.33 goals conceded per match on the road.

Colorado Rapids vs Vancouver Whitecaps

Best bet – Colorado to win

There haven’t been too many positives for the Rapids this campaign, but if there is one it’s their home form, where they’ve suffered only two defeats all year long. The Whitecaps have lost nine of their 15 away matches with their last road win coming all the way back in the middle of June. They’ve also conceded 32 away goals while only averaging 0.93 in return, so back the hosts.

Portland Timbers vs Minnesota United

Best bet – Minnesota double chance

These sides are separated by 2 points in the table, so back the visitors to keep things close in this clash. These two shared a 4-4 draw back in July and Minnesota have lost once across the last six competitive meetings between the pair, so they look good for a point here.
