Prop Hunt: Daily NBA player prop betting tips

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.
There’s no better time to bet on basketball than the NBA playoffs. Stars up their minutes, coaches cut their rotations to keep their biggest names on the court, and the playoff series format guarantees repeat match-ups. That allows us to take advantage of potential mismatches and find the best value player props.
We’ll be providing you with daily NBA player prop bets throughout the 2025 playoffs, with expert analysis and breakdowns for each selection!

Today’s NBA Prop Bet of the Day
Payton Pritchard over 9.5 points at 20/23 (Celtics at Knicks)
The Celtics gave Pritchard an extended run in Game 3, playing him for 34 minutes – a high in this playoff run. He’s been a key bench player for the Celtics, but he really stepped up to help Boston to their first win of the series.
Pritchard scored 23 points in that victory, having recorded 13 points in Game 1 and 9 in Game 2. He’s averaging 11.4 for this playoff run, which suggests there’s some value in this line.
Unless this Knicks side finds an answer for him, Pritchard is likely to be a key player for Boston in Game 4. With another extended run expected, back him to hit double figures for the fourth time in his last five games.
Julius Randle 20+ points at 5/6 (Timberwolves at Warriors)
Randle continued his impressive playoff run with 24 points in Game 3, scoring 20 points or more for the sixth time in eight postseason games this year. He’s really evolving into a true second option behind Anthony Edwards, while he stepped up in the previous game when Minnesota’s role players struggled to get going offensively.
Randle is impressing without really getting it together from three, having made just two of his 13 attempts from distance in this series. However, he is getting opportunities in the paint and from the free throw line as the Warriors continue to put their focus onto stopping Edwards.
The Warriors are struggling without Steph Curry, so Game 4 offers Minnesota a chance to take a commanding lead in the series. Back Randle to be a key part of that with another 20-point game.
Tuesday’s Best Bet
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 7.5 free throws attempted at 5/6
After Shai got to the line 12 times in Game 4, this number has somehow dropped. The Canadian has attempted at least nine free throws in five of his previous six playoff appearances, with that number only dropping off during his poor Game 3 showing in Denver.
SGA has shown throughout the first four games that he can trouble the Nuggets, while he does tend to get the benefit of the doubt on some softer calls.
With his average free throw attempts per game climbing to 8.8 in this playoff run – up from 8.1 last year – this looks like a brilliant market to back him in. The Nuggets are accumulating fouls at a heavy rate, so back the Thunder star to take advantage once again.
What are NBA Player Props?
In addition to betting on games, which we cover in our daily NBA tips, player props allow you to predict how a player will perform in individual stat categories. The most popular bets tend to be over/under player props, which mostly revolve around points, rebounds and assists.
NBA prop lines appear a little after the main moneyline and spread odds. These are often linked to player stat lines from the regular season. Our NBA playoff betting strategy is focused on finding favourable matchups or increased minutes, which can help players to hit the over.
When will the NBA prop bet of the day be posted?
With the playoffs running almost daily from now until June, our daily NBA props will go live each afternoon in the UK. We aim to have our best NBA prop bet for tonight’s playoff games live well before the action tips off.
Underrated NBA playoff prop markets
The most popular NBA prop bets tend to be based around points + rebounds + assists (PRA). However, betting markets for player stats extend far beyond that. Throughout the NBA playoffs, you’ll find prop lines on other markets like threes made, steals, blocks and even turnovers.

NBA Prop Betting Tips for the Playoffs
There’s little doubt that the game changes from the regular season to the playoffs, which is something to consider for your NBA playoff prop picks. Teams shorten their rotations, cutting opportunities for players further down the roster. Stars have the ball in their hands much more, while the prospect of a seven-game series opens up an opportunity to bet focused on matchups between the two teams.
