Usyk vs Dubois predictions & betting tips with 14/1 treble

Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.

Oleksandr Usyk returns to the ring for the first time since his second victory over Anthony Joshua last year as he defends his heavyweight world titles against Daniel Dubois.

After failing to reach an agreement with Tyson Fury for a unification bout, Usyk is facing the mandatory challenger for his WBA title and his WBO, IBF and IBO belts will also be on the line.

A showdown with Fury isn’t necessarily off the table in the future for Usyk but first he has to navigate the challenge of knockout specialist Dubois – who has won 18 of his 20 fights inside the distance, losing just once.

Where to watch Usyk vs Dubois

Usyk and Dubois will meet on Saturday, August 26, at the Stadion Wroclaw in Poland.

The main card is set to begin at 7pm BST and ringwalks for the main event are expected to take place at around 10pm BST.

This is a PPV fight and will be broadcast by TNT Sports, formerly known as BT Sports, at a cost of £19.95. The fight can also be streamed via the TNT Sports Box Office website and app.

Usyk vs Dubois prediction

Dubois boasts incredible power, but Usyk has been in with big punchers before and has managed to avoid getting into any real trouble.

The 36-year-old Ukrainian successfully outboxed Anthony Joshua in two fights without having to really engage and against Derek Chisora he managed to avoid any serious punishment despite being put under pressure by ‘Del Boy’.

Dubois has to come forward and impose himself on the fight but that leaves him vulnerable if he overcommits and this is where Usyk can take advantage.

I’m expecting ‘The Cat’ to win inside the distance here and a TKO victory for Usyk in the exact method of victory market at 10/11 looks a strong option. The defending champion doesn’t boast the kind of power to end this fight with one good punch, but he should be able to dominate and land enough to convince either the referee or potentially even Dubois’ corner to decide that enough is enough.

14/1 Boxing Treble Tip For Saturday

Over 1.5 knockdowns
Usyk vs Dubois

Rather than take the main bet for one leg of this accumulator, I’ve opted for a bigger price option for a bit more value. I’m expecting Usyk to take down Dubois via a TKO, but the Briton won’t give up easily here and Usyk probably doesn’t have the power to finish this off in one moment. Dubois survived three first round knockdowns in his last fight, and with the less powerful but more skilled Usyk expected to dominate there is a good chance we’ll see at least two in the main event.

Denys Berinchyk to win via KO,TKO or Disqualification
vs Anthony Yigit

Unbeaten Ukrainian lightweight Denys Berinchyk looks too good for opponent Anthony Yigit. Berinchyk has stopped two of his last four opponents and has a career knockout percentage of over 50%, while all three of Yigit’s losses have come inside the distance.

Hamzah Sheeraz to win via decision or technical decision
vs Dmytro Mytrofanov

Hamzah Sheeraz is the heavy favourite to see off Dymtro Mytrofanov but he may need the judges to claim the victory. Sheeraz is unbeaten with 13 KO wins in 16 fights, but he is facing another man with an unbeaten record and Mytrofanov looks a durable middleweight – so back the Briton to win on points.
