Chelsea vs Arsenal – Sat 19th Sep – 12:45

There has been no update on Thibaut Courtois seemingly serious injury, and we’re still hearing that he’ll be out until December. Radamel Falcao should return from a slight knee injury, but Willian will probably miss the clash against Arsenal due to a hamstring problem. It’s recently been confirmed that Oscar and Pedro will also miss the Arsenal match through injury.

News emerged this week that Jack Wilshere’s injury hit career isn’t getting any better, and he’ll need surgery and three months recovery time for his injury. Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck are both facing long spells on the sidelines as well, with both expected to be out until the new year.

Aston Villa vs West Brom – Sat 19th Sep – 15:00

Aston Villa have the standard long list of injury concerns ahead of their derby against West Brom. Idrissa Gueye, Adama Traore, and Jose Crespo are all doubtful for the home match. Gary Gardner should be back by next weekend, but Jores Okore won’t recover from his knee problem until the end of October. On the plus side, there is a chance that Carles Gil will be in action after picking up a knock.

New signing Jonny Evans’ injury s a mystery. He’s down as a doubt for the game but Tony Pulis has suggested that he was taken off due to cramp. There’s no doubt about Ben Foster though, who’s ACL injury will keep him out for another few weeks.

Bournemouth vs Sunderland – Sat 19th Sep – 15:00

Charlie Daniels should be back for Bournemouth in time to face Sunderland. Max Gradel’s ACL injury is looking like it will keep him out for most of the season. Harry Arter’s groin injury is nearly healed, but he needs to regain his fitness. Bournemouth’s record signing Tyrone Mings was taken off under ten minutes into his debut and is likely to be out for a full year.

Adam Johnson is still a week away from a return following a shoulder problem, whilst Adam Matthews is expected to be out for another month. Steven Fletcher has picked up a knock as well, but we don’t know he will have recovered in time for Saturday.

Swansea City vs Everton – Sat 19th Sep – 15:00

Swansea have a clean bill of health, but the same can’t be said of Everton. The Liverpool outfit are the most injury hit side in the league.

Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic are both doubts for the game with hamstring strains. Brian Oviedo will miss this game but is hoping for a return to action soon, and Darron Gibson should be back in time for next weekend. Former Manchester United teammate Tom Cleverley could be out until November with the ankle injury he picked up against Spurs, and Leighton Baines and Stephen Pienaar are still a while away from a return.

Stoke City vs Leicester City – Sat 19th Sep – 15:00

Glen Johnson could make the bench for Stoke after his hamstring injury, but Jon Walters will miss out. Ryan Shawcross is expected to take three months to recover from back surgery.

Leicester are only missing Matthew James, who is going to be out until February with his ACL injury.

Newcastle vs Watford – Sat 19th Sep – 15:00

Predictably, Newcastle have a long queue outside the physio’s office. Mike Williamson’s arm injury will keep him out for another week or so, but Sylvain Marveaux isn’t expected to return until the start of October. Paul Dummett, Craig Good, and Emmanuele Riviere are all out for this match.

The same old story for Watford. Lloyd Doylet and Joel Ekstrand are still out, with Doyley’s return date unknown but Ekstrand expected to be out until Christmas.

Manchester City vs West Ham – Sat 19th Sep – 17:30

Captain Vincent Kompany was taken off against Juventus on Tuesday, but should be fine for the weekend. Fabian Delph won’t be back until the end of October though after picking up his injury playing for England. Full back duo Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy are still a few weeks away from a return, but Sergio Aguero should be fully fit for West Ham’s visit.

Andy Carroll made the bench last weekend and could make an appearance on Saturday. Mauro Zarate, Joey O’Brien, and Pedro Obiang are unlikely to be risked so soon after recovering though. Alex Song and Enner Valencia will both be on the sidelines until the end of October at the soonest though.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace – Sun 20th Sep – 13:30

Christian Eriksen suffered another setback before last weekend’s game, but the Spurs staff are hopeful that he will make a return on Sunday. Moussa Dembele could also be back in action following an ankle injury. Nassim Bentaleb is out until the start of October, whilst Ryan Mason’s injury he sustained when scoring last weekend is yet to be assessed.

Damian Delaney, Connor Wickham, and Joe Ledley should all be ready to play for the visit to Spurs. Marouane Chamakh and Joel Ward are still a few weeks off though, whilst Kwesi Appiah’s suspected ACL injury could keep him out for the rest of the season.

Southampton vs Manchester United – Sun 20th Sep – 16:00

Ryan Bertrand could make an appearance against Manchester United on Sunday, but new signing Jordy Clasie is still struggling for fitness. Gaston Ramirez can’t seem to shake a knock off either. Florin Gardos and Fraser Forster are going to be keeping each other company on the sidelines for the majority of the season though.

Luke Shaw’s horrific leg break that he suffered against PSV will keep him out for around six months. Wayne Rooney should have recovered from the slight hamstring strain that stopped him travelling to the Netherlands, but Phil Jones’ blood clot will keep him out of the team until next week at least.

Liverpool vs Norwich – Sun 20th Sep – 16:00

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has avoided the need for surgery on his heel, but will still miss this clash against Norwich. Joe Allen could feature for the first time this season, but Jon Flanagan will be out until December. Daniel Sturridge is back in training though and could make a surprise return against Norwich. But let’s be honest, he’ll probably get injured again.

Youssouff Mulumbua metatarsal fracture will keep him out until the back end of October, but Gary Hooper should make a full recovery in time for the trip to Anfield.
