West Ham vs Chelsea – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

There’s a chance that Joey O’Brien could return for this game for West Ham, although the likelihood is that he will be rested until next weekend. Winston Reid is also expected to be back next week, whilst Alex Song is still a few weeks away from a recovery.

Thibaut Courtois is the only confirmed long term injury for Chelsea headng into this match. Branislav Ivanovic’s hamstring injury should be fully healed by next weekend, and Loic Remy and Pedro are carrying knocks of indeterminate severity.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

Leonardo Ulloa is hoping to be fit and ready for the visit of Crystal Palace on Saturday, and the only other injury for Leicester is Matthew James’ cruciate ligament damage which will keep him out until February.

Joel Ward and Conor Wickham should have recovered from their lower leg injuries in time for the trip to Leicester. Kwesi Appiah is still expected to miss the whole season after he sustained a knee injury on international duty. Dwight Gayle will miss out through suspension.

Norwich vs West Brom – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

Youssouf Mulumbu could make a return for Norwich now his metatarsal fracture is healed. Gary Hooper and Lewis Grabban are also hoping to be fit after their simultaneous ankle injuries.

Ben Foster is the only confirmed casualty for the visitors, with his knee injury setback keeping him out until January. James Morrison is a major doubt for West Brom though, and will be a big miss.

Stoke vs Watford – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross is still recovering from his back operation, and Shay Given is expected to be out for another week or so with a knee problem. Jon Walters and Mame Biram Diouf are both slight doubts for Watford’s visit, but hopefully should return to full fitness in time.

Jose Jurado Marin has picked up a hamstring injury which is expected to rule him out until next weekend. Other than that it is only young defender Joel Ekstrand on the injury list a he continues his recovery from a cruciate ligament tear.

Aston Villa vs Swansea – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

Ciaran Clark and Gabby Agbonlahor could return to action for Aston Villa on Saturday. Gary Gardner is expected to be out another couple of weeks, he is still suffering from a shocking tackle he was on the end of in pre season. Jores Okore is being introduced back into training gradually and should be back at the start of November.

Swansea maintain their position as the Premier League’s fittest side, although they might be missing Wayne Routledge on Saturday as he tries to recover from a slight lower leg knock.

Arsenal vs Everton – Sat 24th Oct – 15:00

Arsenal’s central midfield woes continue. Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey are suffering from injuries, and they join longer term injuries Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky on the sidelines. Goalkeeper David Ospina is also expected to be out for a month with a shoulder injury, whilst Danny Welbeck won’t be back in action in 2015.

Tom Cleverley’s ankle injury could have healed in time for the trip to the Emirates after he rolled it against Spurs. Leighton Baines, Tony Hibbert, Muhamed Besic, and Steven Pienaar are all expected back for their game against Sunderland on the 1st November.

Sunderland vs Newcastle – Sun 25th Oct – 12:00

Jack Rodwell and Adam Matthews are both expected back in the squad for the crucial Tyne-Wear derby, but Ola Toivonen is unlikely to make the grade. The extend of youngster Duncan Watmore’s hamstring injury is still unknown, but he won’t be back to face Newcastle.

Where do we start with Newcastle. They are constantly at the top of the injured table, and currently have nine players struggling for fitness. Kevin Mbabu and Rolando Aarons might be back to fitness in time for the short trip to Sunderland. The same cannot be said of Sylvain Marveaux, Craig Good, Emmanuel Riviere, Steven Taylor, Karl Darlow, Gabriel Obertan, or Tim Krul though. Most are expected back before the end of November, but Krul’s cruciate ligament tear will keep him out for the rest of the season.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur – Sun 25th Oct – 14:05

Bournemouth’s injury list is almost as extensive as Newcastle’s, but it contains much more crucial players. Key trio Callum Wilson, Max Gradel, and Tyrone Mings are all expected to miss the remainder of the season with cruciate ligament tears. Harry Arter is still trying to get back to match fitness following a bad injury last season, and Tommy Elphick isn’t going to take to the pitch until December. Lee Tomlin, Andrew Surman, and Artur Boruc could all be back to fitness in time for Sunday though.

Ryan Mason and Nassim Bentaleb are both doubtful to make the grade for Tottenham Hotspur. Heung-Min Son and Tom Carroll are a few weeks away though, whilst Nacer Chadli and Alex Pritchard won’t be back until December and January respectively.

Manchester United vs Manchester City – Sun 25th Oct – 14:05

Ashley Young and Luke Shaw are the two first team Manchester United players who won’t make an appearance in the derby. Paddy McNair’s abdominal strain will keep him out of action for another week or so, whilst the extent of James Wilson’s illness is unknown, but it’s unlikely to be anything too serious.

Manchester City have a number of key players missing for them. Sergio Aguero is out until the end of November, whilst David Silva is unlikely to recover in time for the trip across town. Samir Nasri is also struggling with a hamstring injury along with Fabian Delph, although the latter might make the bench. Gael Clichy could be back as well.

Liverpool vs Southampton – Sun 25th Oct – 16:15

Jurgen Klopp didn’t sound too optimistic about Daniel Sturridge’s chances of returning for Sunday’s match in his press conference. Captain Jordan Henderson and defender Jon Flanagan aren’t expected back until November and December respectively, whilst Danny Ings and Jordi Gomez have been ruled out for at least six months with cruciate ligament injuries.

Maarten Stekelenburg joins fellow goalkeeper Fraser Forster on the sidelines for Southampton after sustaining a back injury. Florin Gardos’ knee injury is making no signs of disappearing as he looks forward to a long season in the physio’s office, whilst Shane Long is going to miss a few weeks as well.
