Rugby Summer International Test Series week 2 tips with 8/1 acca!
The first weekend of the Summer Internationals was a very tough watch for Northern Hemisphere supporters with all four hosting teams going up 1-0 in the best of three series.
Now, they look to bounce back and have something to play for come the final weekend.
Back our selections in this 8/1 Rugby International Test Series accumulator!
New Zealand vs Ireland:
Ireland +13.5
The New Zealand vs Ireland result last week didn’t necessarily reflect the game itself, with Ireland scoring three tries to the All Black’s six.
However, Ireland crossed the try line a further five times knocking the ball on twice and being held up three times. They were creating chances but just not finishing them, while New Zealand were ruthless when converting their chances.
I can see Ireland tightening up their performance here and keeping the game closer.
Australia vs England:
Over 52.5 points scored
Last weekend’s test was a very tight affair. England hooker Jamie George came out after the game and said they ‘didn’t throw a punch’, despite having a one man advantage for the majority of the game.
The game was always in the balance and I think it will be a similar watch this week. In the last seven games these two teams have played against each other, five of those games have combined for over 52 points and I am betting on the same again here.
Wales vs South Africa:
Wales +12.5
Wales almost caused a huge upset last week and covered the spread I tipped, although Damian Willemse’s 82nd minute penalty did eventually break the Welsh hearts.
This week South Africa have made 14 changes to the starting team whilst Wales are trying to bring a similar level of performance to the game. I said 19+ was too big of a handicap last week and I think +12.5 is again this week.
Argentina vs Scotland:
Argentina to win
Argentina started off their Summer International series in fine form last week and Scotland are also under huge pressure now.
They left many of their stars at home and have now lost four of their six test matches against Tier One nations in 2022. Another Argentina win is on the cards here.
5/1 Try Scorer Double for week 2
Australia vs England
Marika Koroibete – 23/20
The high-flying winger will look to continue Australia’s hot start by crossing the try line on Saturday.
Koroibete is the perfect mix of pace and power and was a handful all game for England last week. He can punish them again.
New Zealand vs Ireland
Dan Sheehan – 21/10
Dan Sheehan has had a huge breakout season. In 16 appearances for Leinster this season the United Rugby Championship and the Champions Cup, Sheehan has scored ten tries, which is a very good strike rate for a player in his position.
And with fellow Leinster teammate Ronan Kelleher missing the tour through injury, Sheehan could look to make the number two jersey his own.
