St Jude & Czech Masters predictions with 482/1 golf double tip
The PGA Tour season reaches the business end this week with the first of three FedEx Cup playoff events, the FedEx St Jude Championship, which takes place at TPC Southwind for the third consecutive season.
The top 70 eligible players in the FedEx Cup standings will all head to Memphis while the DP World Tour returns from a month off at the Czech Masters.
Racing & Football Outlook golf tipster Joe Champion has taken a look at both events to put together an each-way double which pays out at 482/1.

FedEx St Jude Championship winner prediction – Patrick Cantlay at 22/1
The top 70 on the FedEx standings are looking to improve their position on the season-long points race – and bag a valuable title in its own right – at the FedEx St Jude Championship.
TPC Southwind has staged a PGA Tour event since 1989 and, after the St Jude Invitational was removed from the schedule, this venue became the opening stop of the FedEx Cup playoffs in 2022, taking over as permanent home of the previously nomadic Northern Trust.
Those outside the top 50 will be aiming to seal a spot in next week’s BMW Championship, plus a guaranteed place in next year’s Signature Events. The top 30 after the BMW will then head to East Lake to fight it out for the £25 million first prize at the Tour Championship.
After adding Olympic gold to his rapidly growing title collection, Scottie Scheffler once again tops the market and he’s hard to oppose again at a tough track where a top-class tee-to-green game tends to be essential.
However, six previous visits to Southwind have yielded no better than 14th place so Scheffler is perhaps not quite at his most comfortable in Memphis.
With big bucks on the line, this tends to be the time of the season when Patrick Cantlay turns it on, as he demonstrated when just missing out in a playoff by Lucas Glover a year ago.
Cantlay has won three of the last nine FedEx Cup playoff events, finishing in the top ten on six occasions, and he looks to be inching back to form, finishing third at the US Open and fifth at the Travelers Championship before a respectable 25th-placed finish at the Open.
Czech Masters winner prediction – Matthew Jordan at 20/1
The tenth Czech Masters takes place at a new venue as the Kyle Phillips-designed PGA National Oaks Course takes over from Prague’s Albatross Course, which hosted the first nine editions of the tournament.
Phillips is the man behind a number of DP World Tour courses, many of which are modern links courses, and while that’s not the case in landlocked Czech Republic, the Oaks Course still retains a number of links-like features and the greens are protected by extensive bunkering.
The best bet could be Matthew Jordan, who was a brilliant tenth at the Open on his last start.
The Englishman is an adept links performer but he’s shown his versatility in recent months, finishing fifth at the Soudal Open, 13th at the European Open and 12th at the Scandi Mixed.
