Our tipsters strive to pick out the very best value from every fixture they preview but some tips naturally offer more value than others, and that’s where the star ratings on our match predictions come in.

Our three-star tips are reserved only for those we think have the very best chance of winning. They represent the tips we are most confident in and as such you often see those tips blessing our daily accumulators!

But why not combine all our three-star tips into a single accumulator? Well, that’s exactly what we’ve done this Saturday and the result is this 97/1 seven-fold.

West Ham vs Southampton

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Goals at both ends looks to be on the cards when West Ham head to St Mary’s. Both teams have scored in all three of Southampton’s league games so far and there have been goals at both ends in all of the Hammers’ fixtures too.

Blackburn Rovers vs Luton Town

Betting Tip: Blackburn to win

Five of our three-star tips come from the Championship on Saturday and we’re expecting Blackburn to get the better of visitors Luton at Ewood Park. Rovers sit on the fringes of the play-off places in 10th after collecting eight points from their opening five matches, but that looks an extremely encouraging return based on their fixtures to date. Tony Mowbray’s men have only been beaten by current joint leaders WBA so far, and they ran The Baggies pretty close here in a 1-2 reverse.  Luton were held to a 0-0 draw by struggling Sheffield United last time out and prior to that they were thrashed 5-0 at home by Birmingham.

Reading vs QPR

Betting Tip: QPR to win

QPR are unbeaten after five games this season, with three wins and two draws, while Reading have lost their last three games. These sides have made widely contrasting starts to the new campaign, but in both cases, it’s been a continuation of the form they displayed towards the end of last season. QPR’s unbeaten start comes as no surprise after they finished 2020/21 with four wins from five, while Reading’s struggles seemingly began way back in March.

Coventry vs Middlesbrough

Betting Tip: Middlesbrough double chance (win or draw)

Middlesbrough have lost just one of their first five games, with one win and three draws, and they beat Coventry twice last season.  The Sky Blues have started well with three wins and two defeats but all of their wins have come against sides currently in the bottom four.

Blackpool vs Fulham

Betting Tip: Fulham to win

There has been no relegation hangover for Fulham as they have made an excellent start to the season with 13 points from a possible 15.  In contrast Blackpool look set for a difficult campaign as they have just two points on the board, while the Seasiders are yet to pick up any points or score at home in the league.

Stoke City vs Huddersfield Town

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Stoke drew a blank against league leaders Fulham last time out, but they have scored in five of their seven games in all competitions this season.  Huddersfield have scored in all five of their Championship fixtures and both teams have scored in three of those games.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Clermont 

Betting Tip: PSG to win and both teams to score

Paris Saint-Germain have started the season with four straight wins but they have only managed one Ligue 1 clean sheet so far.  Promoted Clermont may be heading for a first defeat of the season but they can make a game of it in the capital as they have scored in all of their four outings so far, managing nine goals in total, and they have scored in each of their last 12 competitive games so far stretching back into last season.
