Summer Slam: 104/1 treble featuring Wimbledon, British GP & The Open!

The British summer is upon us and with it comes three top-tier UK sporting events to make up for the barren footballing landscape.
The festivities begin in London on Monday as Wimbledon, the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, gets underway for two weeks of on-court action.
Halfway through that, on Sunday, 3rd July, we make a short trip north to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
Finally, a few days after the Wimbledon Final, our eyes are cast even further north to watch The Open, the oldest golf tournament in the world, at St Andrews in Scotland.
This makes for a bumper trio of British sporting action and our top tipsters have picked out a winner for each one, combining them into a huge 104/1 treble!
104/1 Summer Slam treble
Wimbledon 2022
Best bet – Matteo Berrettini to win at 11/2
Matteo Berrettini may be without a Grand Slam title but he boasts excellent credentials on grass and actually won the opening set in last year’s Wimbledon Final against Novak Djokovic.
The 26-year-old will have learned from that experience and four of his last five titles have come on a grass court. Two of those have come in the build up to Wimbledon, including a successful defence of his title at Queen’s last week.
He enters Wimbledon on a nine-match winning streak and could be in with a chance of breaking his duck.

British Grand Prix
Best bet – Max Verstappen to win at 4/5
Max Verstappen has never won the British Grand Prix but he looks set to end that drought as he charges after a second World Drivers’ Championship.
He has finished in the top five in five of his last six Grands Prix at Silverstone, with last year’s dramatic crash with Lewis Hamilton being the only exception, although he did win the Sprint Race on the Saturday.
More important is his tremendous form this season, though. The Dutchman has won five of the last six Grands Prix and has taken the chequered flag first six times already this season, while championship rival Charles Leclerc is currently on a four-race run without even a podium to his name.
The Open
Best bet – Rory McIlroy at 8/1
The Open Championship was last held at St Andrews in 2015, when Rory McIlroy was world number one and the reigning Open champion after winning at Royal Liverpool in 2014. He was favoured to continue his good course form at St Andrews after a T-3 finish in 2010 but was eventually forced to withdraw due to an ankle injury.
Fast forward seven years and The Open is back at St Andrews. McIlroy majors record for the year is second at the Masters, eighth in the PGA Championship and tied fifth in the US Open.
At a course he has liked in the past, he is a worthy favourite and our option to lift the Claret Jug on Sunday.
