Sunday's Sport Breakdown - Where to Watch All the Action

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Here at FST, we love little more than a long stretch on the sofa during a packed day of sport, and Sunday is a perfect day to plonk down by the biggest screen you can find and let a plethora of sport wash over you.

There’s an overwhelming amount on across Sunday. However, if you time it right you can avoid those irritating things like housework, the dread of Monday and the outside world, and instead you could find yourself looking up the minutiae of NBA rules at 11pm after watching eight consecutive football matches.

Luckily, we’ve taken all the hard work out of your lazy Sunday. He’s our breakdown of the day’s sporting highlights, and this week it’s a long one. With action spanning the day and the globe, you no longer need to worry about what to watch and when. Here is our tailor-made timetable of Sunday’s top sporting action.

Of course, these are just our highlights from a jam-packed Sunday. You can check out the rest of the live football on TV here.

7am – Perth Glory vs Melbourne City

Where to Watch: BT Sport 1

We’re kicking off Sunday’s action with a big clash in the A-League. Second and third meet as Perth look to dent Melbourne City’s strong campaign, which is a meeting of two sides who are thriving in front of goal.

Having both hit 33 goals this season so far, our Perth Glory vs Melbourne City predictions point to another high-scoring clash for both sides this weekend.

12pm – Ross County vs Rangers

Where to Watch: Sky Sports Football / Main Event

We’re making the switch from the A-League to the SPL at midday, with plenty of time to sneak in a nap before Rangers look to get their season back on track.

Steven Gerrard has been under pressure of late, with bigger battles still to come. However, with a crunch Europa League tie on the horizon, will his side return to form or take their eye off the ball? See our thoughts in our Ross County vs Rangers predictions.

2pm – Chelsea vs Everton

Where to Watch: Sky Sports Premier League / Main Event / Ultra HD

The first of the day’s Premier League clashes comes from Stamford Bridge, where Carlo Ancelotti makes his big return to his former side. Having been sacked by Chelsea in a Goodison Park corridor in 2011, he returned to Everton as manager.

Can Ancelotti get one over his former employers? This one is a huge battle for the Champions League spots, with Chelsea wobbling at home of late. Our Chelsea vs Everton predictions point to another tough game for the home crowd.

3pm – Scotland vs France

Where to Watch: BBC1

The Six Nations is back this weekend, with the Super Sunday offering broken up by events at Murrayfield. The French are making a push for the Grand Slam, but can they claim maximum points in Edinburgh?

4:30pm – Manchester United vs Manchester City

Where to Watch: Sky Sports Premier League / Main Event /  Ultra HD

The second live Premier League game of the day is a huge one, even if these sides aren’t directly competing. Man United could make the Champions League in fifth place at City’s expense, which has added a little spice to this clash.

Can City get one over their local rivals as they look for a strong finish, or is United’s revival about to take a major step forward? Clashes between these two are rarely dull and we expect that to be the case again in our Manchester United vs Manchester City predictions.

7:30pm – LA Lakers @ LA Clippers

10pm – Oklahoma City Thunder @ Boston Celtics

Where to Watch: bet365 / Sky Sports Arena

There’s another NBA Sunday doubleheader on Sky Sports this weekend, including a test for the Celtics as their young side builds towards a championship push.

The early clash is the battle of LA, as the Lakers meet the Clippers. These are the two standout sides in the conference, with the table-topping Lakers unable to beat their local rivals. Can they change that this weekend?

As always, we have all the analysis you need with our latest NBA predictions, which include individual match previews and accumulators across Sunday night’s action.

7:45pm – Juventus vs Inter Milan

Where to Watch: bet365 / Premier Sports 1

The big clash at the top of Serie A is back on this weekend, albeit in front of an empty stadium. However, there’s still plenty to look forward to in the Derby D’Italia, especially with Inter desperate to end Juve’s dominance.

With the stage set for the biggest clash between these two in a decade, this clash isn’t one to miss. For our full rundown on a titanic clash at the top of Serie A, see our Juventus vs Inter Milan predictions.

11pm – Portland Timbers vs Nashville

2:30am – LAFC vs Philadelphia Union

Where to Watch: bet365 / FreeSports

We have another USA doubleheader for you, which should banish any thoughts of Monday morning. MLS is back and that’s great news for those night owls who enjoy some midnight sport.

Portland Timbers vs Nashville and LAFC vs Philadelphia are part of a busy day of action, which we have covered in our latest MLS predictions.
