We’ve been looking ahead to a busy week of football in the UK and across Europe and have picked out our best match goal bets for each day from Monday to Friday.
We landed a 15/1 both teams to score Long Haul accumulator earlier in February and now we’re trying our luck with a match goals bet, with three over 2.5 goals selections and two bolder 0ver 3.5 goals picks. Together, our selections combine into a 39/1 accumulator which you can back below. Read on to see where we think the high scoring games will take place.
39/1 Goals Galore Long Haul Accumulator Tip
Monday – Grenoble vs Toulouse (France Ligue 2)
Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals
Toulouse lead the way in the French second tier and can open up a three-point gap at the top of the table if they win at struggling Grenoble on Monday.
Toulouse are scoring on average 2.24 goals per-game and their games are averaging 3.08 in total. Unsurprisingly, second from bottom Grenoble aren’t scoring too many goals themselves but they have conceded three in two of their last three games so we should expect at least three goals in this Ligue 2 clash between two sides at opposite ends of the table.
Tuesday – Portsmouth vs Oxford (England League One)
Best Bet: Over 3.5 goals
There are five League One games to look forward to on Tuesday and we could be in for a goalfest at Fratton Park as Portsmouth entertain Oxford United. These two sides played out a five-goal thriller in the reverse fixture at the start of February, with the U’s running out 3-2 winners, and both have been involved in some high-scoring games recently.
Portsmouth drew 3-3 with Fleetwood on Saturday and over their last five fixtures their games are averaging 4.1 goals-per-game. Oxford beat Cambridge 4-2 in their Saturday assignment and over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of their last six.
Wednesday – Celtic vs St Mirren (Scotland Premiership)
Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals
We turn our focus to the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday and over 2.5 goals in Celtic’s clash with St Mirren stands out. There have been at least three goals scored in each of Celtic’s last four home games and over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in six of the last seven meetings between the two sides.
Thursday – Everton vs Boreham Wood (England FA Cup)
Bet Bet: Over 3.5 goals
Premier League outfit Everton take on Non-League Boreham Wood on Thursday and we’re hoping to see plenty of goals at Goodison Park. Everton scored four against top flight rivals Brentford in the previous round and over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of their last nine at home. Boss Frank Lampard is likely to name a strong team against a side that dumped out Championship high-fliers Bournemouth in the previous round, so we’re being ambitious with our goal bet here and taking over 3.5.
Friday – Huddersfield vs Peterborough (England Championship)
Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals
Promotion contenders Huddersfield come up against rock bottom Peterborough in the Championship on Friday and we’re going for over 2.5 goals to complete our long haul bet. The hosts are necessarily prolific scorers, but Posh are leaking goals right now and they have conceded 24 in total across their last 10 away games, while over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in seven of those games.
Huddersfield have scored at least twice in each of their last three games, and over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in two of those, and they could well go one or more better against the league’s bottom club.
