Tuesday: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid – Kylian Mbappe to score anytime

One of the standout ties in the Champions League round of 16 takes us to the Spanish capital and Kylian Mbappe could give the defending champions a first-leg lead against their cross-city rivals on Tuesday.

Mbappe had a relatively slow start to life at Los Blancos, but he has kicked on to score 27 goals in all competitions, seven of which have been scored in the Champions League. This includes a sensational hat-trick against Manchester City at the Bernabeu, which came just a couple of weeks after he found the net in his first Madrid derby. He can make himself an enemy of Los Colchoneros again on Tuesday.

Wednesday: PSG vs Liverpool – Ousmane Dembele to score anytime

Two of Europe’s most in-form attackers meet in Paris on Wednesday night and Ousmane Dembele could strike the first blow after yet another sensational performance at the weekend.

The Frenchman scored and assisted in PSG’s 4-1 win over Lille to make it 26 competitive goals for the season, and the vast majority of these have been scored in the last few months. He has netted an incredible 21 times in his last 16 competitive games, failing to score in only three of those games.

Thursday: Fenerbahce vs Rangers – Youssef En-Nesyri to score anytime

Fenerbahce are hot favourites to take a first-leg win over Rangers on Thursday against a Rangers side that have lost three of their last five games, and star-striker Youssef En-Nesyri could prove the difference maker in Istanbul.

The 27-year-old has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season and six in ten Europa League outings. 12 of these goals have come in 16 home appearances, and while he blanked at Galatasaray last time out he has still scored 15 times in his last 13 games, including a recent run of six successive goalscoring games.

Friday: Toulouse vs Monaco – Mika Biereth to score anytime

January signing Mika Biereth has made waves in Ligue 1 for Monaco after scoring 11 goals in 16 Austrian Bundesliga appearances for Sturm Graz in the first half of this season, and he is touted to continue his fantastic start to life in France on Friday.

Despite being a Le Rocher player for less than two months, the Danish youth international is already the club’s top goalscorer in Ligue 1 with ten goals in just seven appearances. He scored his third hat-trick in his last five league appearances against Reims on Saturday and will be relishing the chance to get at a Toulouse defence that have lost three of their last four at home.

Saturday: Liverpool vs Southampton – Mohamed Salah to score anytime

Mohamed Salah looks a dead-cert for the Ballon d’Or this season and travelling Southampton fans will be dreading the sight of the Egyptian when they visit Anfield on Saturday.

Salah has 25 goals and 17 assists in 28 Premier League appearances this season and is averaging a goal involvement every 59 minutes in the top flight. Saturday’s fixture pits him against the division’s worst defence and two of the 65 goals they have conceded were scored by Liverpool’s talisman in the reverse fixture in November, with those strikes being the eighth and ninth career goals that Salah has scored against Southampton in the Premier League.

Sunday – Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Berlin – Hugo Ekitike to score anytime

Omar Marmoush’s January departure has been a blow to Eintracht Frankfurt, but Hugo Ekitike has stepped up to the plate admirably and should fancy his chances against a Union Berlin side reeling from a 6-0 drubbing in Munich last time out.

24 of the visitors’ 35 goals conceded this season have come away from home and 18 of those have come in their last six trips, while 11 of Ekitike’s 18 competitive goals this season have been scored at the Deutsche Bank Park. The most recent of those came against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, where he notched his seventh goal in his last tenth appearance.
